Let’s not pretend that just about every large competitor in gaming (including MS) has been guilty of this at some point. Sony did take it to an extreme over the last decade though.

It’s an added effect when the types I mentioned are not some sort of fringe muppets but rather the absolute majority and the ones in control of gaming media and the narrative. There are some cracks in it now since Xbox is making progress and these people are very upset and slowly losing control. As one of like 4 Xbox fans here during the Xbox One era it is very fun to watch what is happening now.

I don’t blame Xbox fans from feeling excited by this back and forth and finding it funny, it really does look like a big comeback story in the movies. I know it is probably a bit console wary but after the last what 8 years of constant bad shit towards Xbox it is funny to see it sort of flip.
