Should Xbox give Kamiya and Platinum another crack at Scalebound?

The game would have been much better as a concept as a new pure dark fantasy game with dragons instead of dude bro beats headphone man

I wonder how much Microsoft meddled in development. We’ve heard from various sources over the years how Microsoft used to cram things into games that they fund. Perhaps it would have been a better game and materialized if Platinum didn’t have to think about multiplayer, for example, and focus on their core strength in making a single-player action game.

I think the Xbox team of today has learned a lot and are far more hands off.

Scalebound but it’s actually Skyrim 2 :oh_wow_think:

Yes.

I am owed a blank cheque Kamiya game.

I think the right thing needs to happen

Where is Kamiya’s comments?

Nope not an extra second of effort should be put into that. Move on and leave it behind.

Wasn’t the rumour that platinum were banking the MS cheques but working on other projects?

That rumour has been shutdown multiple times. Too many people forget that.

No. It looked mediocre from the jump and it needs to stay dead.

Nope, PG didn’t deserve more times and money from Microsoft.

Scalebound: 2013 - early 2017. Meanwhile Platinum released Bayonetta 2 (2014), The Legend of Korra (2014), Transformers: Devastation (2015), Star Fox Zero (2016), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2016), Nier: Automata (2017).

And The Wonderful 101 Remastered not on Xbox because “it’s not easy to port”.

That’s pretty damning when you consider a rumor is that they funneled microsoft cash to other projects
