It’s business !! It’s like he has shares in the company or something.
No one is “outraged” over this. Many people just find it unnecessary and much rather the time and money be spent on something else. Most of the reactions online seem to be surrounding wanting Sony to remake a game that needs a remake, instead of a game that still looks great today.
Few people were happy with the lack of 1st party Xbox titles this year, but many are understanding that delaying games is better than releasing them before they are ready like what we saw with so many games the last two years. Also no, Xbox has not had consistent quality issues with first party games. Halo is really the only title released in the last few years to be having quality issues. The issues with Halo have been discussed plenty and aren’t glossed over or even defended by most of the Xbox community.
So your assessment of this whole situation is horribly wrong.
The issue many have with Jim Ryan are wide ranging and aren’t related to just this news about about a HZD remaster. So I’d tone down the rhetoric and sweeping generalizations towards a community you chose to join if I were you.
Exactly. Contrary to what’s being assumed, I’m very critical of Jim Ryan and Playstation’s overall strategy not because I hate Playstation, but rather because I want them to do well and be a strong competitor. People can say whatever they want and they can focus their allegiance/loyalties to one ecosystem if they want, but wanting less competition in this space is not a good thing. We, as consumers, win when these megalithic companies have to fight for our money. Everything MS is currently doing is a prime example of that.
Greg kept hammering on this point about not confusing people with both PS4 and PS5 games on store shelves (when has that ever been a concern before?).
I appreciated Blessing arguing that that is an entirely self-created problem that Xbox sidestepped with Smart Delivery.
Greg kept claiming that he wasn’t trying to defend Sony, but it sure sounded like he was fishing for any reason to not criticize the remake.
