Does nobody remember when Outriders and Gran Turismo 7 were rendered unplayable because of server outages? It’s not even just about personal internet issues.
This has nothing to do with cloud saves. Every single game on Xbox can do cloud saves.

The problem is not the internet not working. The problem is Xbox Live not working. And this happens from time to time.

Hopefully internet is loud enough to get offline patched in. I remember in Canada we had an internet outage for 3 days and I was barley able to use my xbox like not even the bluray player would work

Hahahaha. That’s definitely me. I’m only connected online when I have to be.
With that said, I would prefer that an internet connection wasn’t required in order to play the game fully solo but I have played The Division 1 & 2, For Honor and Outriders so it’s not going to prevent me from playing Redfall.

For me i’m online 100% all the time. Why would a internet connection hurt? are you saying that you turn you’re Xbox on but don’t connect to internet? like why? just connect it to the internet, unless you have shitty internet with low data per month and not unlimited plan lol.
Those 3 days were brutal, my Xbox was useless without the internet.

That fiasco showed how poor the infastructure in Canada is when you couldn’t even use stuff like debit/credit. It’s still wild to me there was no failsafe in case one of the telecom goes down since so much our infrastructure relies on the oligopoly.
Yep. I have Rogers and I still experience an outage bi weekly for like an hour or 2 for no absolute reason.
When people “complain” about this DRM shit, they’re not doing it because they’re “concern trolling”, it’s because it’s a legitimate issue that is absolutely aggravating when you experience it lol.

Damn, are you on the newer ignite modem (X87)? If you’re not may want to see if you can upgrade to that one since it provides a better connection than the older modem. Also, may need to get a tech to see if there are signal issues if its dropping that often
I’ve tried every single trick in the book, even threatened to leave for Bell lol.
Seems like my location is just a bad area because my neighbors have the same issues. Thankfully it tends to happen extremely late in the night.

Gotcha, yeah if not in a pure fibre area it’s kind of a luck of a draw. In certain areas Bell is much worse than Rogers, so there isn’t any other option tbh. I think only hope is RoBell upgrade to pure fibre, but may not due to cost

I kind of understand if you have spotty internet but hopefully you don’t just get booted out of the game if your internet goes down for a few seconds

It’s simply an annoyance and im not an online co-op/multi-player gamer. Have never played a game in co-op or multi-player and never will. No valid reason for me to be connected online to play a game solo and I only do so if the game requires an internet connection in order to be played. It’s not a deal breaker or anything like that and I also don’t care about achievements/trophies so even more reason to stay offline for me.
Here’s an example, I just downloaded and installed Hi Fi Rush. It’s all set ready to go. When I play later, im offline. For me, there’s literally no point or purpose. What’s the gain? There literally isn’t any.

A lot of people don’t specifically spell it out, but paranoia is a big reason why they don’t want to be connected online all the time.
