Jez loved it.
That Microsoft time and money really took this game next level.
Can’t bloody wait.
“Psychonauts 2 deals with difficult themes carefully and yet without reservation, approaching each of the brain levels – a reflection of the state of mind of the person you are encountering – with empathy and without judgement. Barely an hour would go by without the game forcing me to think a little more broadly about the situation the game had placed me in or my own experience in life. I’d be laughing away at some outrageous personification of addiction or anxiety, only for a line of dialogue or metaphoric sequence of play to leave me momentarily breathless. That’s part of the appeal, and genius, of what I have played of Psychonauts 2 so far: it’s imaginative, intuitive, and very funny, but it’s also fearless in its embrace of its subject matter. That’s a rare quality to be found in a AAA game, and I can’t wait to see if Double Fine can maintain that balance throughout the entire experience.”
I’ll say it again. This game is going to be one of the best titles of the year.
I’m looking forward to trying this, but I bounced off of the original. Any tips?
getting some major Tearaway vibes from this ability lol, can’t wait
Game looks amazing but I am really disappointed that there is no 60hz option on the One X…oh well I guess I’ll try it out to see how it plays at 30fps.
Every time they show something, this game is looking better and better, I can’t wait.
Obviously PS fanboys cry every time with their huge entitlement complex, lol.
The GI editors didn’t seem to like the gameplay much at all.
Man, this game sounds more amazing than I had hoped! It is really sad how there will be so many console warrior toxic idiots trying to crap on such a creative and cool game with some meaningful concepts by doing the airbrushed screenshots comparison trash with Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Regardless of “graphics” (the art design which is where the real talent is for both games looks awesome in Psychonauts 2) talk, I literally blew through Rift Apart doing almost all content in launch weekend without even playing nonstop or anything, and it was basically just more Ratchet to me with a less engaging story than the 2016 Ratchet remake. While Rift Apart was probably an 8 for me overall I guess, Psychonauts 2 looks like the type of game that will likely truly draw me into the game world and stick with me too.
Yea holy crap seeing ALOT of crying about their not being a native PS5 version, Sony players should be happy they get anything at all given this is an Xbox 1st party game now. They really have zero ground to stand on and are coming off as a bunch of whiny babies
I hope the rest of the game is as polished as the first 4 levels so Tim Schafer can get the recognition he deserves !
