PS5 and Xbox X|S Pre Order Discussion

Next gen is definitely getting held back…

My purchase is held back #gotem.

Hopefully both Sony and MS can give some better reasons in 2021.

Hopefully some retailers jump the gun, or the bots will win like they did with Nvidia this morning

Will Microsoft store start pre orders at 8 am as well (I’m assuming)

I hope so. I’m debating calling into the MS store and chatting with a rep for 30 to 60 minutes (prior to 8 AM) to get mine reserved while I also refresh the MS and Costco pages.

I just spoke with GameStop, and they will not open up preorders for the X until the 22nd. So my plan is to stalk some sites on Monday night, then if unsuccessful get up Tuesday morning at 6:30 AM and drive the 45 minutes to the closest location. Then I will wait old-style with mask outside the store while working from my laptop, and refreshing various sites. Being there one and a half hours in advance (open at 9AM) should be enough in a small town, but if not … not meant to be

Dafuq?

You mean the online store?

I’m calling the MS store while trying to get my order online (MS store and Costco). First one wins! I hope.

Cause I already put money on my digital account to buy XSX and XSS online via the MS Store too. I’m not gonna sleep lol

I’m concerned (lol) because no mention about South America on the blog post about xbox preorders… are we excluded from the 10th release??

I’ve scooped up MS store gift cards from Costco. This weekend I’m redeeming my MS points. I’ll have a metric ton of store credit for games if I can’t get my order on MS store.

Aside from the One X as a mid-gen refresh, this is the first console I’ve aimed to purchase at launch since the Dreamcast. I hope the supplies are good and there’s bot protection to avoid the reports of what’s going on with the PS orders. :fearful:

After you got your console you can extend the guarantee by one more year or 2 like I did for my X1X via the MS website by registering your console id or/and paying a small fee if I remember well

I already redeemed some gifts cards and will complete with my credit card. The MS Store is safe and fine. I already ordered accessories and controllers on it and all was good they are quick and the package is solid and well protected

I was fortunate enough to have a physical Microsoft Store within driving distance. They had customer service second to none. I kept having issues with failing blu-ray apps on the One Elite model that required a factory to do some work. Never had to wait. Because I always purchased the warranties they exchanged them that day, right there in store. I’m definitely going to miss that this go around!

As a fallback, I may reserve myself to be outside the doors of Costco in November with the executive membership getting me in an hour early. I hope it’s enough if it comes to that . My holiday gifting depends on it.

Really cool you are fortunate enough indeed. But didn’t they recently close? I just have access to the MS online one

I’m really impatient to pre order XSX/XSS and receiving both models at home frankly

For COVID, yes and it seems that may be permanent? :anguished:

I fear it will be the case unfortunately
