That was never going to go through, ARM design for too many of Nvidia’s rivals. The problem is that regulatory bodies around the world are targeting big tech and for good reason. Eight of the most valuable companies in the world are big tech(the two on the list that aren’t in tech are Aramco the Saudi national oil company and Berkshire Hathaway) and governments are worried these companies wield too much power and influence. Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Meta and Tencent are all under multiple investigations for anti trust and other issues. Microsoft want to try and keep out of the crosshairs and have done a pretty good job so far but if they want to keep buying as a company they have to play nice

Yeah, not much else they can really do for xbox version except gamepass perks, but there will be parity and extra features. Like there is no way they ignore haptics and other stuff. Also, if they make a COD VR then you know it will also release on playstation just like there is minecraft VR there. I just think they can’t throw that phrase around because Mojang acquisition has done nothing for xbox gamers tbh and more about Microsoft making money which does nothing for a consumer

Well… Destiny, Matter, and MLB would count as three GaaS available on Xbox.

They are, but it’s just not a big enough sample size for me. Destiny is hard to count for obvious reasons, Matter is a ‘believe it when I see it’ situation, and MLB is the only true outlier that was assumed to be pushed for by MLB themselves in exchange for Sony keeping the license.

Certainly you would hope so. That doesn’t seem to be mandatory though when looking at Minecraft in which case Xbox has the least optimized version.

Even if CoD becomes another Minecraft model, I think it will be different because that was 2014 Microsoft as opposed to Microsoft now. There is no way they will let the Xbox version be less optimized than the rival platforms.

This MS acquisition is huge in a number of ways for them as a company, but one thing that may be overlooked is the fact that it also prevents these titles from appearing on OTHER streaming services (i.e. Spartacus) that are inevitable.

I won’t be surprised that some COD games will appear on Spartacus. Sony would certainly have negotiated that before (after all ATVI games did not come to Game Pass before, probably for a reason). Will be another PS Now case where COD games stay on Spartacus for some years (we had similar with Bethesda)

There’s no way Acti-Blizzard will treat Xbox has second class citizens after the deal is done.

There’s Rod Ferguson and Mike Ybarra who are pretty much Xbox guys working there. That Diablo 3 patch is coming soon. Things will get better from our end. Don’t assume the worst before even seeing the fruits of that deal.

Man, that’s probably the deal of the decade, if not the century for MS. I don’t know who here is still trolling…

In no way will they not provide parity between ps5 and series x version. That would go against developers goals and don’t want to be accused of making a version intentionally worse. Anyways, benefit as a Xbox gamer is gamepass day one, and hopefully gamepass perks, but other than that it may have extra features to utilize dual sense and other ps5 tech
