Since he was appointed and all the good guys left, it was clear as day. But fans were still, “yeah, he’s a suit, but he’s doing good business so it’s good for the brand”. Now, here we are.

Same as Mattrick, he’s a smart ass who has no clue about gaming. But at least Mattrick wasn’t faking it.

It probably goes the other way as well. COD is the micro-transaction machine. You want this IP to drive revenue and completely cutting off the other side probably isn’t best for the brand.

Now if Sony is still trying to instill this “lost revenue clause” they have been championing for nearly a decade, then no you can have the boot Ryan🥾. But if they are going to be rational (which I think they will since MS has all the leverage). Then I see no reason to take it off, other than console warring

The way Jim Ryan is so against the ABK deal makes it seem like PlayStation is going to go out of business if the acquisition happens.

Not a good look for Phil if what Jim says is true but I’m not gonna shed any tears for any of these companies when they both go out of their to screw over competitors. Sony in this instance wants to have their cake and eat it too.

What do you mean? he never said forever nor would it be forever and the offer of 3 years after they HAD to is very nice of them as they could’ve pulled it straight away after the marketing deal.

Because Microsoft will OWN the freaking IP so why shouldn’t it be exclusive to Xbox/PC/Cloud? I’m an Xbox and PlayStation fan who owns both current generation consoles and regardless of which side makes an acquisition, whatever is being acquired as part of that acquisition should be 100% fully exclusive to the brand that is paying for the acquisition.

Maybe Sony and Jim Ryan should stop crying and go buy some freaking shit. And if they can’t/won’t/don’t, that’s not Microsoft’s problem. That’s their problem.
