PlayStation: Xbox's Call of Duty offer was "inadequate on many levels" (Jim Ryan says Xbox offered 3 years beyond current deal)

I’m not big on the fighting genre but isn’t tekken on Xbox.

Tekken is, but without SF on your platform the fighting game community dies.

Maybe, but remember, Capcom paid a highly price for making Street Fighter 5 exclusive to one platform, the initial sales were not good and the only way the game got sort of sales legs was with heavy discounts and deals, even the game was part of the PS Plus at some point.

SF5 did not launch in great state at all. That contributed a lot to a failure. Small roster, I think it even lacked some modes and other stuff.

Which is funny that Sony could not offer more money to make the game launch with normal features.

Yup and I’ve think for those reasons Ono “left Capcom” (fired, imo), anyway Capcom was not going to make the same mistake with Street Fighter 6, so it’s great it’s coming to consoles and Pc’s.

Yeah, Capcom is doing a lot of good decisions recently. No more exclusive nonsense and thus is able to find success.

Tekken 7 came out in 2017. Thsts way too late in the gen to have influence and was the worst version of the game too.

Not only that. I played tekken 7 on xbox. Worst version. Runs 720p and never got one x upgrade so stuck 720p on series x.
