The real thing being overblown is Xbox progress in Japan imo. Sure, Series consoles are doing better than X1, but anything is better than nothing, no? Until they do something spectacularly big for that market, it’s hopeless.

Jeez, it’s been 22 days since Sony acquired Firesprite to acquiring Bluepoint.
Jeez.
You mean re-acquired Firesprite and gave their contractors a full time job? Yeah.
I mean, it may have been 4 studios, but annoncing them one after another one month apart sure did wonders for their PR.
All it did is reinforce my opinion that the Cult is a bunch of hypocritical “#¤”%".

I have a topic to discuss guys, so with all these acquisitions, Sony has been making since the beginning of the year. do you see those new studios putting a strain on them financially?
I mean in a sense most of these acquisitions would have been possible since 2016 or 2017, it is obvious the main motivation here is they’re backed to a wall by Xbox doubling the number of Studios PS has. and I can see a future where these studios’ games don’t all sell as well as TLOU, God Of War or even Ghost of Tsushima. do you think the increased funding Sony is going to provide these studios with is going to put any strain on Sony in the future if some of those studios’ games don’t work out so well?
I feel like as much these studios are a good thing for the PS5 library I feel as much as they are bad for the studios themselves, the last thing I want to see is BluePoint or Housemarque end up like Japan Studio or the liverpool studio.
I’m sure it’s partly why you’re seeing Sony finally start to pivot towards games that aren’t all just third person narrative driven action adventure games.

Need the games. Gamepass has potential there especially cloud. But xbox needs more jrpgs. More Japanese games.

Bloodborne remake + a sequel by Miyazaki is the perfect system seller combo for me.
Colin is saying its a remaster + sequel by bluepoint , not Miyazaki .
question, but why does a game that game out like 5 years ago need a remake? Also it doesn’t really need a remaster except a 60fps mode tbh

Good point! Maybe it’s just a beefed up Remaster. 60fps 4k etc.
But I will never get the extreme hype with this game anyway. I also love certain games, but don’t bring them up in every conversation I have.

Y’all telling me this game needs a remake?
Sony has lost it if that’s what they think this game needs, and not just a 60fps and higher res patch. Pls don’t waste time and resources remaking a 6 year old game that still looks incredible. Some are saying this could mean Bluepoint might be making Bloodborne 2 and without Fromsoft/Miyazaki at the helm, it’s just an automatic big NO for me.
