Probably because most of the leaks were from earlier in 2023 and Insomniac’s next game is slated for Holiday 2025 so I can see not having any info about the Pro because they wouldn’t need one yet.
Yeah but if it’s coming in 2024 they’ll likely be patching their games and what not. The leaks were pretty wide ranging. Not saying that’s evidence that it isn’t coming, but it’s an odd ommission considering the scope of the leaks and that their past games will likely see updates.

They could be patching the games this year in preparation for it. They wouldn’t have done it last year due to wrapping up Spider Man 2.
Also, I remember not reading or seeing any rumors about the PS4 Pro until GDC in 2016 which I believe is in March. With PS5 Pro, Tom Henderson said it’s real and he’s been very accurate so im willing to bet it is and releases in November.
We saw like all of their plans many years into the future
We only saw Insomniac’s plans and roadmap which doesn’t include a game until Holiday 2025 so why include PS5 Pro two years earlier when there would be no real reason to do so?

So mid gen upgrades don’t exist as part of a roadmap?
We saw their plans to 2030 and beyond.
All I saw in the Insomniac roadmap was games for the next decade. With PS5 Pro being a year after Spider Man 2 and Insomniac having nothing for it until late 2025, I just don’t see why they would include it when there’s no reason for them to do so.

I guess you guys don’t believe that Sony will release a PlayStation 5 Pro then where as I do. But we’ll see. Won’t know until September unless those with Dev Kits leak it out.

Anyone playing Helldivers 2? What are your thoughts? I missed out on the first one, but it looked like a pretty cool twin stick shooter. I’m wondering if the changes are well liked by fans of the original.
I don’t find it strange because they wouldn’t need it to anything about it for at least two years and im pretty sure there weren’t any PS4 Pro upgrades from Sony’s previously released games in 2016 so it’s definitely not a surprise because they probably won’t even upgrade it for the PS5 Pro.

There are a few reasons, firstly (for all the reasons stated at the MS hotchips presentation) the economics of mid gen consoles have significantly changed since the pro and 1x generation. It’s now much less economically viable to release one with a noticeable boost. this coupled with Sony’s console design philosophy of cheapest possible build to meet stated aim make it much less likely. Secondly there is no USP previously it was 4k (reconstructed on the pro native on 1x) there is no mass market hook they could use this time. Thirdly - not even a hint in the insomniac leak documents. And additionally now they know there is no Series X pro. which gives them even less reasons to launch new hardware that they know will sell to a tiny proportion of their userbase.
And even more damning I saw an article today (based on info from known propogandist and faker RGT) hyping PS6. Why would that guy be out there spreading lies about a PS6 if a PS5 Pro was on the horizon?
I recall that Tom Henderson or someone else said devkits were going out soon to studios, and this was december or so. You’d think something would have leaked.
I still believe they are doing one, enough to just wait it out and not buy a PS5 right now. Nor am I in any hurry with this backlog.
Went and had a poke about to see what this guys history re console leaks accuracy is like and found that his current twitter account only dates to 2021.
