Not played Ghostwire yet, but I’ve experienced that in other games. It feels, and sounds, like the controller is about to explode. It does feel very basic, like some Happy Meal-toy.
Elite 3 sure but otherwise, the last thing Microsoft needs to do is release yet another controller. lol
Rumble works best when it’s IMO about giving the player subtle information. I like the ergonomics of the Series X controller & I find it very comfortable. It’s just whenever it starts vibrating like crazy my immediate impression is it’s the fault of the devs for overdoing the ‘immersion’ stuff.
I also trust the Xbox team’s ability to produce great controllers so if they do add haptics & adaptive triggers (which is likely tbh at some point), I expect they’ll do a great job.
Yes, this does not happen in every game either but sometimes it’s like someone pushed MAX-settings and it’s vibrating violently and sounds like it’s going to break. Very brute-force rather than subtlety. An old tractor vs. a racing car when you compare it to the DualSense.
I also got reminded of how much the Series controller sounds, like clicking the buttons and moving sticks. Clickety-click. Very annoying now.
It feels very good in my hands, the basic form and layout of the sticks is still better. If they made a modern one, it would be really good I’m sure.
I got spoiled from the new expansion of Horizon. I do wonder if Twitter (especially Twitter) will be…okay with the choice.
I hate spoilers. Was it accidental or someone being an asshole?
It was warned though the video was playing, so maybe it’s my fault? I don’t know. Twitter does have auto play video when scrolling.
That sucks.
New DLC for Horizon is incredible. Best looking game I’ve ever played.
Nice, I haven’t played the game yet. Might wait for all the DLC, do we know if there are more planned?
I’m currently replaying HFW base game since I don’t have the save file in order to start Burning Shores. I’m 3 quests in so still a ways to go and won’t be playing again until after I complete Dead Island 2 and Jedi Survivor. With a little luck, I should be playing the expansion by June.
It’s most likely just one expansion.
Yeah, the first one only had one. But I’m gonna wait a while anyway, you never know. Looks very good though.
Yeah, it looks freaking awesome. Best looking game thus far and the base game was cross-gen. The DLC is current generation only and said to look even better but outside of the launch trailer, I haven’t watched anything else and will wait until I play it myself.
Think it’s only this one expansions.
It’s like this games Hivebusters if that makes sense. Somehow managed to make the game look much better than the base game.
I wonder if that’s due to dropping PS4 support
Yeah, what I’ve seen looks great. How is the structure of the game? Is it more of the same from the first one?
Definitely.
Pretty much but smaller. The map is about 1/3rd the size of the base game.
There was rumour going around GDC this year, that Xbox will soon launch two new controller models. One bigger, and one smaller for different hand sizes. And they will have haptics
