I’d check out Kinda Funny Games Daily if you don’t listen to them already, it kind of functions as a de facto PlayStation podcast just because that’s where most of the cast’s interest and expertise lies (except when Gary, Parris, or Mike is on!). But very good for the most part.

It is very hard to find a podcast like that because unlike Xbox, PS gets enough media coverage so there was no need to make podcasts. But at the same time, existing PS podcasts are almost always about Playstation praises.
I agree. I prefer a day one Game Pass deal over a timed console exclusive. However, I know that the majority of day one Game Pass games excluding first party won’t be for me.
I second Sacred Symbols. Best PlayStation podcast by far in my opinion but you really have to tune out Colin’s Xbox opinions which I disagree with sometimes but in general, he’s simply not an Xbox guy at all and barely a Nintendo guy so you have to be able to detach this aspect if you want to enjoy their podcast.
Colin, Chris and Dustin are all good though. This is the only PlayStation podcast I watch. They also have an Xbox podcast called Defining Duke with Mr Matty Plays and Lord Cognito from Iron Lords which is also pretty good too.

Yeah I guess the trick is to find the not-so-cultist people. Been avoiding the ones who cover everything because they usually have no clue about Xbox, hence this place. If I could just find a PS focused one with normal people discussing PS things I’d be good.
Unfortunately I’ve seen some of Colin’s…takes and yeah…no. I will probably not be able to look past that. Will give it a chance though.

I’d recommend Kinda Funny as well, they have a good balance. They also have weekly Playstation and Xbox specific podcasts alongside their daily news shows.

Yeah, I disagree with his Xbox opinions majority of the time but he’s a PlayStation guy and doesn’t care about Xbox so you shouldn’t take it personal or anything. I watch them for PlayStation content. Gotta be able to separate one brand from the other when watching an Xbox or PlayStation focused podcast. Otherwise, you won’t get anything good out of it nor will you be able to enjoy it.
Outside of the ABK deal, they rarely talk about Xbox anyway so you should be good for the most part.

Never seen this podcast before. May check it out. The Bad Bit guy has been on Iron Lords a few times. He’s solid and is definitely not what you would call a fanboy of PlayStation. More like that’s his preference but he doesn’t kiss Sony’s ass.

Yeah, well I have this…issue that I can’t take people seriously on one subject when they are obviously wrong on another. If Person A has incredibly bad takes about something I know a thing or two about, why would I trust anything they say about something i don’t know much about? This goes for most things.
I don’t mind preferences, not at all.

I can understand that and agree with it but remember, you would be watching a PlayStation focused podcast with Colin just not caring about Xbox or having any interest in it so why would he know anything about it? Granted, you could then say that he shouldn’t talk about Xbox and I agree, but he doesn’t talk about Xbox unless there’s a specific topic about Xbox. Otherwise, they rarely talk/mention Xbox. Most I saw was Chris talking about Halo Infinite as he enjoyed it for the most part during the “what are we playing” segment a while back.
Check out Nextlander. They’re former Giant Bomb guys and have been around forever. They talk about everything it seems, and don’t seem to have any particular bent. For instance they spoke pretty highly of Grounded over several weeks, and though the one who was playing God of War Ragnarok ended up enjoying it a lot, he wasn’t shy about criticizing it when he was starting out.
My favorite part is that they have chapters/timestamps, so you can easily skip to the next part if you don’t want to hear something.
You can tap on any one of those in the first picture to go to more or less the start of the discussion, or just tap on the right arrow in the second if you want to avoid a topic.

Wow, the Dual Sense Edge is getting savaged on Resetera review thread. And Ridge Racer 2 PSP is out but it’s subscription only, can’t buy separately. Not Sony’s best day.

As for games, I haven’t decided yet. I’ve bought a few but still looking to add a few more and then we’ll see where to begin. I found some good deals at least, bought Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Days Gone and Demon’s Soul so far.
