We will need to wait and see how tgis unfolds. Even if true, this does not necessarily means that second hand games will not allowed. I could also see them allowing users to bind games to an account, so that you don’t need to swap discs to play games. As long as there is an “unbind” option, everything should be ok.

I’m just not buying it. The sort of system needed for consoles would need to allow for people moving house, having multiple consoles and even owning consoles at more than one property. I’m not buying that Sony have such a system in place.
The more I see the ps5 the less I like it and I think I’ve realized why. Its because I’ve seen this design every where from routers to modem to Alienware pcs. Even the other day I was in my buddies shop and couldn’t help but notice his tower fan looked just like it to. Really thinking about waiting for a ps5 slim

I hate the console look. Its hideous. The controller on the other hand looks great - apart from the four lights - but the console design is legit terrible.
I have no idea what Sony were thinking. Its overengineered and obviously so.

Sorry if I sounded blunt.
I saw that it was dismissed as fake on the other site (numbers on the image that matched a PS4pro apparently) and the PS5 is slightly off, not really square (sorry if I’m not clear)… but it seems that the image is also not completely square, so it could match !
Also, I thought that the PS5 had two fans, but maybe not (if it is real).
Wouldn’t there be a fan on the power supply also? I believe in the XSX teardown they mention the fan on the PSU aids in the cooling.
Also I don’t know if you factored this into your analysis but the shape of the PS5 is like this- ▼ -when looking from the front, but is like this- ▲ -when looking from the back. Also the bottom and top respectively follow the same pattern. This is what gives it’s odd shape and why the side panels are wavy.
Also the rear of the PS5 is almost all vent so it must exhaust from the rear.
We just have to wait and see what’s truly there

Wait…PS5 won’t be able to play used game discs? Is that what you guys are basically getting at by the console being able to know if you inserted a certain game disc into another PS5?

Agreed. Imagine only new games working. Wouldn’t be able to sell/trade in used games because the next person to buy that particular copy wouldn’t be able to play it.
Whilst I tend to agree with the sentiment above, never throw away a option of something happening when money is involved.

I kinda miss Series X|S not having a bundled game of sorts, though of course Game Pass kinda negates the need for that. Hexic was my jam.
