I think GamePass on PS is silly. Offer it on Cloud, smart TVs, PCs, Xbox consoles, streaming sticks… in the grand scheme of devices there aren’t THAT many PlayStations out there. It’s not some unmissable segment. I think people ran with the “we want you to play anywhere” and took it too literally. With the current strategy of cloud, PC, console you can play virtually anywhere… living room, bus, office, in bed etc. They didn’t promise any device you wanted regardless of how much sense they make.

I thought I was sure Phil specifically mentioned PS and Switch, how he’d want Game Pass on there. But I’m not so sure now, was that a direct quote by him?
Phil has made it clear he wants all exclusive games where game pass exists.
He’d love for call of duty to be on Playstation, but they need to accept game pass first. I simply cannot read this another way and won’t be thinking about this for another year lol.

You are correct. They won’t even allow native PS5 versions with gamepass. Why? Because then you could just buy it and not subscribe to gamepass.
If you stream though…thats ongoing subscriptions.
Anyone who insists Xbox is leaving money on the table…they are already leaving sales on the table on their own platforms by adding it to gamepass day 1.
What platforms don’t have gamepass? Yeah, those platforms don’t get jack.

I think it will be wise for Phil not to accept interview from gaming YouTuber or site because you know they will ask him on CoD for days to come. I guess he wants to challenge himself on how long he can endure before he crack.

True, he definitely made that clear.
He talks of the desire and intent to keep CoD on there, but for all we know Sony had to agree to something during that phonecall and whether they agreed or disagreed remains to be seen.
Many of us don’t like the idea, but if Sony says yes to Game Pass or otherwise missing out on CoD…it’s going to happen. I say fuck that.

Yes, I can see COD 22, but the other two, I am not sure. Honestly, I could see Overwatch 2 being exclusive especially if there are no deals attached to it.
This thread will be fun to look back on come late 2023 and in 2024. Hell, maybe even late 2022 lol

I think after 2023, COD and everything else will be exclusive. Phil is just repeating what he already said. I personally don’t believe Game Pass will come to any other systems this generation since it kind of kills the point of buying an Xbox.
I think Phil should use this to bargain with Sony to cancel some of their third-party timed deals or bring Spider-man back to multiplat.
