You make a very good argument actually here, i had not thought of that. A strong/big install base can mean that devs won’t skip your system first, like we still see happening with some smaller devs. For them it’s mostly worth it to make games for PS and PC first because the install base is just that much bigger. MS has a real opportunity here to become a much stronger force.
I was watching a new video by Matty about Starfield’s brand new animation system and engine that is written from scratch. Later on he talks about TES VI and says ‘‘This is likely a late PS5 and XSX title’’ and i’m like…dude, really? At this point people are doing it to themselves.
-The deal was not made to take games away from players.
But then they looked at the devices/platforms services they offer and they don’t have to support other platforms other than those.
Switch is mentioned. Phil would want a full Xbox ecoysystem on these platforms first. Up to Sony and Nintendo.
At this point i laugh at some of these Youtubers that have ‘‘their own takes’’. I guarantee you we wouldn’t have seen this clown shit if Sony had made the deal. It would have been accepted and long moved on.
I wouldn’t give a click to someone that can’t be realistic about this after all that has been said. At this point they are just being childishly stubborn.
You just gotta wonder how such rumors even start, what goes around in the mind of this person? When this rumor appeared, for sure these talks between MS and Zenimax were already going on.

Incidentally, I’ve been looking at some of the more recent Bethesda output and I think I was too harsh on it. By some accounts, FO 76 has gotten a lot better with the new updates, and my poor experience with FO4 was probably due in part to playing it at launch (most bugs) on a base PS4 (not the best experience) with no mods. I watched a video about it and it seems like they did a lot of stuff I would have appreciated if I hadn’t been coming straight from NV (the GOAT). I grabbed the GotY edition since it’s on sale and I’m gonna give it another go whenever that framerate bump gets implemented.
I’m also loving every second of Doom Eternal! It doesn’t even matter to me if future games are multiplatform or not, as long as they come to game pass on day 1!
It’s what people want to hear/read. They still cling to that glimmer of hope that Bethesda games will still come to PS5 because of some words Phil didn’t say. That’s what denial looks like. IGN just entertain that narrative for clicks.
I can’t wait for the announcement of the first new game from Bethesda to end this. It won’t be long, hopefully.
I don’t think sales matter as much to Microsoft since they want consumers in their ecosystem via gamepass, which results into them buying software on xbox. Also I don’t think they’re too worried about sales since they know most PC users will be buying Bethesda games on steam, and they will still have some xbox users buying on Xbox because not everybody wants gamepass.

They won’t give up until it is plainly spoken that" it isn’t coming to PS5, ever." If the trailer doesn’t show PlayStation then they will say it’s a timed exclusive. Then when the year is up they will say “When are they going to talk about the PS5 port?” You already have the people that say things like “Bethesda was never good”. Basically they will tell themselves what they need to hear to accept it.
