Hes 100 percent right the people who are outraged are the same ones who celebrated spidey going exclusive and cannot fathom the thought of having to play on Xbox or pc to play bethseda games just shows how many people kiss Sony’s butt not trying to rile people but its the truth and it’s sad
Again the general press using the same arguments as fanboys on the forums.
Gosh this is so annoying. It doesn’t even make sense, the guy is clearly saying that he doesn’t need much less want to release games on Playstation and yet the narrative they try to push is hey guys don’t worry, those games will surely be available on Playstation, please buy one.
I’m not sure Sony fans will ever get to the acceptance stage of Xbox buying Zenimax.
I think it is ridiculous for Sony fans to ALWAYS assume that the ENTITRE Gaming industry ALWAYS has to cater to their own needs at each and every point. It’s like they can’t be happy with Sony being the market leader and having a great 1st party, literally every facet of the entire gaming industry has to bow down and cater to their every need.
I was playing video games decades before Sony entered the market and I’ll probably be playing games after they leave the market. Sony does not equal the entire gaming market and never will.
If you are that stubborn that even the thought of logging into an Xbox service turns you off then you are going to miss out on A LOT of the big games this gen.
They either need to accept that or choose one of the many inexpensive ways to join the Xbox eco system. Being in denial isn’t going to make Elder scroll 6 appear on the PS5.
What’s funny too is nobody said anything when Sony locked away SFV from other platforms. Like street fighter was known to be on every platform, but I guess it’s okay since on PS4 and PC. That move pretty much killed Microsoft footprint in the FGC
Yep just further proves my point that the industry kisses Sony’s ass
The fact we are getting so many takes and reactions all over the place just goes on to show that it really pisses people off and that they really cared about those games. They’ll all come around after a while and start buying Xboxes soon enough when the reveals happen and only the Xbox Series Logo is attached to the trailers. MS made a smart move here, a very smart one!
It’s just incredibly silly at this point.
The man said it so clearly; we didn’t make this deal to take games away from players, but when we look at the platforms/devices we support there is no reason to also bring it to platforms we don’t support.
How can people (on Twitter) still manage to make that look like something it isn’t? I swear, it’s a talent, lol.
Some people just have a really hard time conceptualizing the moves of high-level executives beyond console warz. I’m sure that there was some consideration given to the fact that it would help a bit “against” Sony, but it was definitely not a primary motivation. The tech they got was great, and the IPs make the ecosystem and Game Pass much more appealing.
Not to diminish Sony’s market share in the current state of affairs, but Spencer went on record saying that Amazon and Google (and Apple? I don’t remember) were their real competitors and that makes much more sense now that Stadia and Luna are a thing.
Look at it this way: you’re told that a very determined toddler with a knife is coming to your house and he’s a block away. You’re also told that a couple of robot assassins are coming from a town away. When you fortify your house and load up on weapons, it’s mostly for the assassins.
Can’t say that I don’t understand them…
If you want to be more annoyed by people blind and deaf

Lol, yeah …had the buyer been Sony doe!
Matty is one of those that does seem to get it, well, mostly. I don’t agree with everything he says here. For example how flabbergasted he acts when it really isn’t too hard to grasp.

Yup. That was the intent too. People like to pretend that Zenimax doesn’t have a much stronger history with PC and xbox as well. It’s much more of a MS can have exclusives as long as I don’t care about them vibe that gets thrown out.
So clear the market is in mobile
“It’s the most mixed messaging ever imaginable”
mmmmm…no? It’s not?
Denial is a sickness.
There was a similar chart for last year that I think of (along with this one now) when I see platform specific gamers act like they’re driving the industry.
Why do people pay attention to youbuters about business? These people couldn’t balance their own bank account yet people pay so much attention to them. These youtubers are suppose to know how to run a trillion dollar company because they know how to use iMovie?
I don’t see why forum posters would be any more or less credible…
That’s the whole point. Opinions are like belly buttons. We all have them. Waste of time to get upset over someone’s opinion.
