I wonder what the profitability of MTX and ancillary products are for these as well. From what I remember, Atlus mostly does cosmetics and boosters as DLC, whereas I think FFXV was mostly expansion packs? And there’s stuff like merchandising and art books and concerts and junk.

I think it’s a valid question to ask. But it’s like asking why it’s okay for Nathan Drake to murder hundreds of people and that doesn’t make him a bad person. The only answer you’re going to get from the game is “Don’t worry about it, it’s only a video game, just enjoy the power fantasy.” I’m personally satisfied with that answer, but I get why it bothers some people. 
When I get around to playing this I’ll probably just go with Makoto again like I did in the 2017 release. I’ll feel bad if I go any other way 
Eh, I’m not the biggest fan of Kawakami’s romance, but then I have kids in school and the whole thing feels wrong. For Joker I could see the appeal. She has a really nice confidant story - Becky excepted, which helps.
In terms of the adult choices, I really like Chihaya. Not only is she a good bit younger (18-20) than Takemi and Kawakami, but she’s really sweet and hell, probably the NPC I speak to the most over the course of the game for how unbelievably useful her perks are.
As for my own current playthrough, I’m now third semester, so nearing the finish line.
Not even a little bit valid imo, Kamoshida’s palace was about his view on everyone around him, and how they were all tools/slaves to feed his ego and power.
Ann and Shiho were the same to him, there was no consent, no thought to their feelings, as far as he was concerned they were his property and he could do whatever he wanted with them.
I need to get back into 5. Had to travel for work just before second castle. I’ve lost track though and the game doesn’t help.

Yeah, i’m on the 5th palace and they game still feels fresh for me. I also like having the option to play it on xcloud. I’ll def buy game once it leaves gamepass

Im exclusively playing on xcloud right now because i have a baby so no time to even set up a console and have any sort of time playing it.
Just got pass the 5th palace(for whatever reason I didn’t think about Futuba’s), the CorpoRobos running and getting replenished if not defeated in 2 turns mechanic was really annoying.
I have the 3 consultants I need to get the true ending™, at the levels needed to do so. Only a couple of more days before the story advances, need to work on leveling team consultant levels and building up enough Kindness to hit level 4 and 5 to get Futaba and Sojiro’s consulting levels up.
I played this up until just before second palace then had to travel for business and now I can’t remember what I’m doing. Is there any way to know if you have everything from the palace?
