Stuck busy working but I’m looking forward to catching up afterwards. The leaked prices means this will be out of my price range but it’s always exciting to see technology move forward.

Woo xbox shout-out

Nividia does Raytracing the same as xbox?

Rtx 3080 = 58 RT-TFLOPS

XSX = 13 RT-TFLOPS

Not bad for a console.

Wow

28tflops RTX3080 $699 20TFLOPS RTX 2070 $499

Maybe next gen consoles will be cheaper afterall?

bruhhhh 3070 at $500? How tf is it faster than a $1200 2080 TI???

God knows. 8nm i guess?

Its crazy that for $499 you have a GPU double the power of a PS5.

Ram and ssd are likely what is causing the proce of the consoles being high.

ThE PRICE HOLY.

This is really interesting, the prices are really not as high as I thought they would be. I really wonder about the big Navi cards’ prices now, and how that could impact the consoles’ prices too.

Jesus, no reason to buy a console now. The 3080 is a truly incredible deal at that price. Time to build a new PC instead - should last me for quite awhile

Prices aren’t nearly as bad as I thought. I don’t need a 3080… no, I don’t need one. But… lol.

Even a 3070 is tempting @ 20tflops

Your still looking at least $1200 for a full rig.

I thought Xbox Series X was ~25Tflops for Ray traced performance?
