I think everyone is throwing their life mortgage on the line.
I mean, the reality is that it is getting announced before March 31st regardless, as that is what Nintendo told investors.
Plus the 3rd party isnāt helping so itās like Series S, might as well reveal it.
I meanā¦ they have to start showing something soon, otherwise there will be nothing left for them to share, with all the leakers getting tired of Nintendo dragging their damn feet.
Jeff Grubb just said he has been hearing the same things from various sources and he feels pretty confident in it as well. (On Game Mess Mornings)
And for further clarity for anyone who may not read the article. This is said to be a hardware reveal (think original switch announcement) and followed by a Software one later (allegedly sometime in February).
Itās funny how while leakers do their things to spoil the fun, the whole 3rd party actually did the damage, so Nintendo, next time in far future, cage them.
Yeah I can see them briefly showing some games like how Switch reveal showed Mario Oddysey iirc.
January reveal with May or June launch is the rumor btw. Donāt expect to see Switch 2 games for a while, nor get to play them for even longer. Meanwhile the hardware is already on the Chinese black market (supposedly)
Supposedly the games showcase will be next month or March.
Yeah Iām pretty sure most people feel confident given Nintendo already said weād hear about it before the end of their FY (which is March) and weāve had more than enough parts by leak, and even accessory manufacturers, all-but-confirmed at this point.
Just remember, I said weād see an early year reveal and a first half launch for years nowā¦ wonder when I start getting paid/zeitgeisted

Games for the Switch 2, in general. I imagine the reveal will be similar to the original switch where there was simply a sizzle trailer of games being developed, if we even get that.
But if the rumor is true about a May or June launch, Iād say thatās not so bad of a wait to play Switch 2 games.
There was a rumor that it was gonna be April, but May or June isnāt bad either. 
Maybe itās a good time for me to put some money aside monthly. Even if Iām not 100% sure at all yet if this is a day one for me.
8 years ago the Switch was really something new, so they had plenty to say with their reveal, I really wonder what it will be about now and especially what to expect from it docked. Thatās what I care about mostly.
If I recall Jeffās comments this morning, I think he said a software showcase is rumored for late February/early march.
Hopefully after the announcement video I can just pre-order one and forget about it till it comes out.
The current rumor swirling around is that the GPU clock for Switch 2 is 561Mhz in portable mode. Which would put it around 1.72TF in handheld mode. (Slightly better than a Steam Deck, slightly below a PS4 in raw computer, slightly above a XB1).
Docked could be somewhere a little south of a PS4 pro. (if clock roughly doubles in docked). Should be pretty robust for Nintendo titles assuming any of it is true.
Assume less than more, and remember how memory bandwidth works with mobile devices. It will still be limited in other ways.
Im not assuming anything. Just reporting internet scuttlebutt because Im bored at work.
Hoping the much hyped upscaling tech will make a big difference for docked.
