Bro needs to ask Nadella for some spending cash for MS’s marketing team. They spent gabzillion on a buying spree but the marketing team basically works in podcasts and twitter posts. I sincerely believe most consumers don’t know enough about the good things xbox does - gpu value, back compatibility, play anywhere. The bad news gets great coverage from every corner of the internet. The only way to control the message is for them to spend a little getting the word out and today is a great time to do it.

In the limited casual video game interactions Ive had in every day life, very few people know what Game Pass is and are kind of befuddled that it exists when you explain it to them. So I agree completely.

I bought the XSX last June for the first time since the 360 was out and honestly had no idea what gamepass was until I bought into the thing. I researched it for a few days before I got it.
Now Im looking at the outlay for a Switch 2, a Pro Controller, A game, and NSO for a year and thinking…that is a series X and about two years of Game Pass ultimate, which is way better than anything I saw today. (Even if I am a pathetic consumerist whore who is going to buy one anyway)
I was high on the machine until prices and paid upgrades started coming in. Charging for a crummy tech demo was a huge what the living fuck moment. The hardware tech looks very strong and I love the ability to play one game over multiple new and old hardware pieces. I have Clubhouse 51 gathering dust for years that would shoot to the top of car ride playlists with my two S1s and the S2.
The only thing I know is I won’t be pre-ordering this weekend because the fire has been tempered. And I’ll be in the Caribbean lol
I registered for the Nintendo pre-order process. People in Europe are getting emails already. US the date for Nintendo pre-orders is May 8th, other retailers is April 9th. It would be nice if Nintendo would let you know that you made the cut before other retailers start pre-orders.

Oh, and Nintendo has criteria like NSO subscription length and playtime that they are using to decide who gets preferential treatment. They are supposed to email you and tell you that you will be able to pre-order from them.
What I was saying is that I would prefer that they send out those emails before other retailers start pre-ordering. Because who wants to go through the rigamarole of trying to order one elsewhere if they are going to sell you one. That and Id rather not tie up another unit at a retailer just to cover my bases.
