The photo mode is a delight to use to see how beautifully detailed the character models, the smallest of details, the facial expressions during conversations etc. I’m sure UE5 has plenty of strengths and I hope they’ll find them for the new Witcher game.
Aside from Avowed, what other open world titles using UE are there?
if you mean UE5, the only games that come to mind are the XGS ones - Avowed, Cobalt and SoD3 and maybe Everwild

Yeah, even if UE isn’t optimal for open-world, there was and is gonna be a good number of open-world games made on it. Arkham Knight was made on UE3, the even worse engine for open world, so it’s a lot about the developers. I remember FF7, Days Gone. Also the upcoming Redfall

I think it’s better if it’s about neither and doesn’t come circling back to them. It’s why I said Skywalker syndrome, I don’t want it to be like Star Wars where everything always circles back to the Skywalker family.

Plus they teased a school of lynx Witcher which is a completely new school with no lore so Ciri and Vesemir are out of the question anyway .
