Couldn’t agree more my friend, I burned through S02 far faster than I meant to…

The Meg 2

First one was enjoyable, fun. This is not. The first hour, more actually is boring as hell, very little to do with sharks and the last 20 minutes or so had some alright scenes.

Avoid!

Do you use letterboxd?

Not sure what that is.

I saw the movie at my cinema theater

I just watched Oppenheimer last night with my Son at the cinema… He’s Americas Alan Turing.

As someone who has a penchant for military history and in particular WW1 and WW2 from a British viewpoint… The film was absolutely amazing and showed some of the morality around such destructive forces in those who built the two atomic bombs that were used…

its like a social app focused on films.

OK, I’ll look into it.

The summer of labor in the entertainment industry continues apace. On Monday, more than 50 on-set VFX workers at Marvel filed a petition for an election to be represented by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) with the National Labor Relations Board.

“For almost half a century, workers in the visual-effects industry have been denied the same protections and benefits their coworkers and crewmates have relied upon since the beginning of the Hollywood film industry,” said VFX organizer for IATSE Mark Patch in a statement. “This is a historic first step for VFX workers coming together with a collective voice demanding respect for what we do.”

Marvel’s VFX workers have indicated they’d like the election for IATSE representation to be held as early as August 21. “We are witnessing an unprecedented wave of solidarity that’s breaking down old barriers in the industry and proving we’re all in this fight together. That doesn’t happen in a vacuum,” said IATSE International president Matthew D. Loeb in a statement. “Entertainment workers everywhere are sticking up for each other’s rights, that’s what our movement is all about. I congratulate these workers on taking this important step and using their collective voice.”

Edit: Nearly all the losses come from subscribers in India who walked away when the combined Disney+ Hotstar platform lost IPL cricket.

To stay with the theme:

Damn, nearly doubled from the initial price & most of their stuff just keeps getting worse lmao

Anyone familiar with Amazon and the people making Fallout there, should we expect a good show? I don’t want to have high hopes. Recently watched Silo on Apple and that vibe and quality is what I really want from a Fallout show, so good.

I hope so. It’s Jonathan Nolan making it, so I am expecting that to be a very good thing. Just nail that setting, that atmosphere, story and especially acting too.

I’ve only watched The Boys, LotR, This is Us (not sure if that’s an Amazon Original) though and those were pretty good. They don’t churn out as much content as Netflix, but what’s there seems to be of at least, good quality. Better than most of what Netflix offer, though just behind HBO, in my humble opinion.

Talk to me

Had not seen a single trailer and thus had no clue what it was going to be about, except knowing about the praise from people.

This is great. Incredibly well acted, especially by the lead actress, her emotions resonated with me all the way and there are several emotional scenes that really got to me, superb acting by her.

It’s familiar territory, yet different when it comes to the story. When it ended I was like…“no,please give me more.” that’s the best compliment a movie can get if you ask me. Not gonna say anything else, other than it’s absolutely worth seeing.

Way more than just a horror.

Enter the Dragon was at my cinema, of course I was gonna go see this classic.

Still a very fun movie. Of course the exeggerated and super fake sounds when attacks hit are silly, I get that they were trying to make the audience notice the impact but it’s definitely a bit to see now, haha. Still, some great fighting in here.

Gonna check if there are Bruce Lee movies I have never seen before.

Oh hell yeah! I saw that the other day.

I also checked the list of movies he’s been in, it seems I have only seen Enter the Dragon before, the rest i haven’t. I did see Dragon but that wasn’t him himself.

By the way, I love seeing these kind of movies. Can absolutely enjoy some great fighting. Adored The Raid, God the fighting is so damn sick there. What are easy to recommend movies?

Not a movie, but a tv series on “Max” that’s called Warrior.
