I’m not a Superman fan but after seeing what the director did with Guardians…I will watch!
Now it’s time to finally check out Silo!
I haven’t been this excited for a film in a long time -
Big Blue’s back
I’m just concerned because there was a lot of stuff happening in that trailer. The DCEU failed because they tried to sprint to the finish line. Just hoping James Gunn has a little more sense.
In my opinion, the DCEU failed because there were too many cooks in the kitchen and none of them agreed on the right course. Having a lot going on is fine in my book as long as the writer is:
A. A Strong one
B. Has a vision that can be adapted cohesively
Luckily, Gunn is a strong writer, and has full control of the creative side of DC Studios. So, he should be able to better manage all of the separate threads. Plus, according to the man himself, all the extra characters will serve Superman’s story, not the other way around.
Anyone looking forward to Nosferatu?
Had tickets for yesterday but the theater was too packed for us to be comfortable (still social distancing because of all my health issues and I can’t afford to get COVID on top), so we’re seeing later this weekend.
Oh I understand your caution extremely well, be safe!
Be sure to post your impressions here after you’ve seen it. I hope it’s great. I love Dracula and the whole setting and that director is amazing when it comes to atmosphere, setting, location, etc. It’s possible that he nailed this!
Planning on seeing Nosferatu sometime before I go back to work (on Jan 6).

I’m over it, a full year? I am rather done with how some movies and shows (Stranger Things) have this eternal wait, or what feels like it. Nah.
I finally watched Andor on Disney+. Not only did it live up to the hype, it was so good it makes Rogue One better!
Finished Squid Game S2 this morning and just got back from Nosferatu.
I enjoyed the world of Squid game again, but I would have preferred it not end on a cliff hanger.
Nosferatu was a slow burn, but it’s so well crafted and often unnerving.
We saw Nosferatu yesterday morning and absolutely loved it. The cinematography was incredible and atmosphere throughout was unnerving, indeed. Fantastic performances too.
I was checking out the Space battles forums when I ran into a couple of post discussing Goku’s mannerisms Dragon Ball. One of them had a link to this video about Nosawa’s dialect when she voices Goku.
Watching Blue Eyed Samurai in Netflix, it has a really great art style and the animation looks very good.
The story imo feels half baked, because the motivation of the main character seems a little meh. But I think the actual journey will make up for it, also if you’re watching at the 57:57 mark, pause and close episode 1 because they spoil so much for absolutely no reason.
I had to drop that one because of the creator and their clear “white supremacist-lite” vibe. The samurai is literally depicted as uber-powerful because they’re half-white. Pass.
Didn’t know that, now I will definitely be thinking if I even want to continue. Ah well, I’m also watching Arcane and have the new Dragon Prince Series to watch as well(I think I will have to rewatch the first series to remember some of the plot though).
Yeah I dropped it solely because of that. It’s a shame because I was interested otherwise.
Yep, same.
