True. But I wonder if Sony had seen something of the game and then made the deal. I cannot really imagine they would just go for it without having seen it, especially a studio that is known for porting only.
I am sure it will be good but i also have no idea how it turns out either.
Iâll probably sign up. I have like 10 tv/movie streaming services, whatâs 2 game services.
How do manage all that shit?
I lose track of everything Iâm subscribed too.
I should probably bundle.
10 is probably an overestimate. I have Netflix (which is my âfind something to watchâ service), Prime (which I never use, but comes with Amazon), Hulu (which I only use for FX), Crunchy Roll (for waifu), HBO Max (came free with my mobile sub), and Disney+ (which I use for Star Wars/Marvel).
Netflix and CR are the only ones I use regularly I guess, waste of money now that I look at it. Could probably sub/dump the others when shows I want to watch come out.
Lol, mineâs mostly the same.
I think I mostly use HBO Max more just to watch Smiling Friends over and over again.
I only got Paramount+ for Halo because these new Star Trek shows are TERRIBLE.
And I say that as a life-long Trekkie.
Is shadow warriors a big game series? Outside of people talking about it here and a couple of videos online I would never have know that 3 was a new game.
Personally Iâve been following it a lot since they started showing it because in my opinion it looks fantastic. It looks AAA to me, it probably isnât though.
It is not AAA. It is Doom knock off basically. People put AAA label on everything right now.
We had similar game in Game Pass actually, the korean one. I forgot the name.
Well this looks like a whole lot of nothing. The Cult will swallow it whole thoughâŚalong with media appearantly.
I wonder how anyone can compare this to Game Pass with a straight face (what in the gods names is Grubb smoking btw? Whatâs happened to him?) since it lacks day 1 first party games. THE feature that is the defining aspect of the service.
I donât know, but I didnât see any great celebrations when Shadow Warrior was given away for free on Games with Gold or when Shadow Warrior 2 was added on GamePass. Granted they werenât brand new when that happened.
This Shadow Warrior 3 added to PSNow seems more like a move by Sony to break the cycle of that series being promoted on Xbox.
Iâm kind of mystified by the emphasis on BC classic games. Like thatâs a really cool feature for hardcore gaming lifers and forum rats like us (unless of course itâs all streaming based, in which case excitement canceled).
But casual gamers? Does Sony really think John Q. Public is going to be like, âOkay, Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West arenât included and I have to pay $70 for them separately, but the subscription service has Metal Gear Solid 1 and Ape Escape!? Oh shit, sign me up!! This really rivals Game Pass!â
Yeah I donât get it either.
They most certainly wonât get any new subs from people like me. I donât even sub to basic PS+, the only thing that wouldâve gotten me interested is if it actually was a competitor to Game Pass.
I guess I will continue to wait for sales on PS first party games lol.
No 1st party day 1 games = DOA.
I donât think itâs about that game per se, more that it shows promise of more day 1 titles coming to the service.
Well, it will have Day 1 First Party trials it seems.
Thatâs⌠not interesting haha. Who the f*** pays for demos? And again, has absolutely 0 pull in comparison to Game Pass.
If itâs a thing where like you pay $16 a month, save data carries over, you get a link to the store when the demo ends and they knock off like 5 bucks as a courtesy, I can see people thinking thatâs worth it even though it isnât really. Curious to see what the service actually provides. Like Prog, Iâm a bit anxious about what this might mean for Game Pass, but I do also think that MS will put their entire weight behind it because itâs their priority at the moment.
For us normalish people yes. For the Cult and media itâs apparantly totally the same, if not better even. They can do it all!! smh
Indeed. If Sony starts FUDing, Game Pass might be in trouble - especially in Europe. Imagine spending money on making Day 1 games in Game Pass, but due to FUD people will believe that all of that is trials or demos
After all, what new Spartacus will offer
- Day 1 games
- Day 1 trials of first parties
- old games via BC
- some discounts
- streaming
In general consumer eyes this offering is no different than Game Pass. Especially with marketing like "Day 1 Games* " with note (3 hour trial)
