Yeah, it’s just hard to compare the numbers with Extra and Premium tiers which are closer to Game Pass aren’t known.

Modern Warefare 2 and Overwatch 2 aren’t great and didn’t review well, Diablo Immortal was horribly received etc. The majority of the people who made the games we know those studios for have left, creatives went away. Activision destroyed a ton of studios to make them CoD support. Activision makes money but the quality hasn’t been there for a long time.
The people who made that talent aren’t there anymore. Blizzard is a shell of it’s former self at best.
That’s not how that works… did you suddenly get amnesia and miss the sales numbers? They made like 800M in like 5 days or something like that. You don’t make that kind of cash making a shit game.

Yes you do? Unless CoD absolutely crumbles in quality multiple times in a row people will keep buying it. Hell sports games put less and less effort in yearly and still sell gang busters. Activision butchered numerous studios to keep the CoD train going and the best they come out with is fine, but it’s CoD so it sells.
I get why they are buying it, but really I doesn’t positively effect us in any way shape or form as nothing will change.
It’s not like there is any banger games that are going to be Xbox exclusive coming from these studios.

I think that ABK has a lot if talent, but that talent is focused on games I don’t care about, which is pretty much everything they ever made.
I’m talking about creative talent. They have tons of skilled coders and developers but all of their good creatives have left years ago. CoD is the same old dance year after year and Blizzards writing and quality of story and ideas has been awful for yeeaarsss now. That’s what I am pointing to.
Name the last actual quality game to come from ABK that’s from a studio that still actually exists
All their current games? downplaying COD is akin downplaying GoW Ragnarok because it is similar to the previous GoW. They are a treasure trove of talent.

CoDs power isn’t in its metascore. God of wars power is only in its metascore.
My point at the end of the day is this acquisition won’t bring any benefits to Xbox gamers except maybe no more content locked behind PlayStation for CoD. This is all just money for Microsoft. That’s it. So at the end of the day this deal going thru or not is meaningless for gamers.
Except maybe these games coming on gamepass but I could definitely see CoD not coming in gamepass day 1. They wouldn’t throw money away like that.
Ragnarok released, truly the spicy takes and fudders have appeared. Ragnarok of people’s minds more like.

Like what? CoD will forever be multiplatform and the only game that’s coming from Blizzard is Diablo 3 which is multiplatform too

I know CoD is the main focus in terms of why Sony is scared, but you do know ABK is more than that. That’s why it needs to be freed from the shackle of CoD.
