Not the sort of news I expected but I’d be really interested to see what kind of RPG they made, and this is GREAT for Microsoft - a second team within a core Call of Duty studio is basically a bonus in games output from what we would have expected and a new IP Microsoft can make exclusive is a huge bonus too.
Activision publishing? Could it be that the publish a game from a studio in Poland? Maybe they want someone to oversee it locally, with an office at IW Krakow.
But why would the publisher be hiring a narrative director? That’s a job for someone at the dev studio.
Ooooh spicy. This could be one of those that could likely become exclusive in the “short term”
I think theres a full studio in Poland. They also currently have 22 open positions in Krakow, Poland.
What better place to grab some rpg talent though than right beside CDPR and Techland?
How many RPGs does Xbox needs?
More.
All of them.
I don’t know to be honest. Maybe they are using a more hands on or co-production style. Why is Activision publishing searching?
As many as possible
This
Look like they are still hiring for key positions. Short term would probably be in this case not before 2026.
So a guaranteed exclusive lol.
We were expecting Microsoft to start making moves in Poland a while back, I guess in a roundabout way they have!
Long term for me is ALL of ABK >:D like 10+ years from now.
Would be cool for them to get devs from CD project and Techland.
It’s OK, everything is an RPG nowadays
Okay people, hear me out.
I think these could be signs of a beginning partnership between Activision and Rebel Wolves.
This partnership would probably look a lot like the Bungie/Destiny one. With the IP ownership for Activision and development support for Rebel Wolves.
It’s probably going to be similar long lasting contract, so they can build up development capacity, without any risk.
Sorry, could you remind me who Rebel Wolves is or point me towards a website? Are they one of the newer ones like Humanoid?
