Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread (Part 1)

This is some kind of Spongebob of ridiculous. Like police arrested Spongebob because they weren’t invited for the party rather than potential robber.

I think one of the other things that people aren’t discussing is that it’s not just the US regulators that have to approve it but also the likes of the EU and the UK. The UK in particular has started to get a lot more aggressive on blocking big Tech takeovers. They forced Facebook to sell Giphy, they’ve started a formal investigation into the Microsoft purchase of Nuance(which the US and EU have approved) extending the deal till march atleast and have blocked the Nvidia/ARM deal along with the US and EU.

The EU also broke up the GE Honeywell deal that was approved in the US. It was a merger of 2 US companies with the majority of their revenue in the US.

Interestingly, if the US and UK approved the deal, they could proceed and just exclude sales to the EU. And really I’d hope they would do that if it happened.

We all know it’s just Sony fanboys trying to stop the acquisition from happening. Sad really.

one of them asking biden to thats batshit insane and people wonder why youtubers are making a career just on making fun of them

They act like it’s a cult, and they can’t leave Playstation or buy another console.

So dumb… Anyone who buys EA will need to keep sports titles multiplatform as part of the licensing. Sure, it can give an advantage to new owners, but still, a lot of EA games will remain on any platform possible. Great deal/partnership with EA >>>>>>> ownership.

More shocking is France is PlayStationland.

So it begins, indeed !

It’s not that shocking, even if the cult and journous say otherwise, for millions and millions a COD-less PS is worthless. Market stocks collapsed because of this, COD is a cultural phenomenon.
