Exactly, Overwatch is a platform and overwatch 1 players will still be able to play with overwatch 2 players and your progress carries over to the 2nd game, so unless they implement a system where there is cross progression and that all your skins carry over to all other versions, I could maybe see Overwatch 2 nor making it on PS4/5 as players could keep playing on other platforms without losing anything. Or they could just not release it st all on Playstation and players would still have Crossplay with everyone else but never be able to get the single player experience of Overwatch 2. Or they could also o ly release a last gen version of Overwatch 2 and so gamers looking for that next gen jump might be more enticed to buy an Xbox platform. Same for Diablo 4.

There is absolutely some double standards in play (as well as some weird entitlement), but tbf the whole argument about folks saying MS will merely be 3rd is rather misleading since it presumes the move wonât have effects on either Sony or MS/Activision, which we know for a fact isnât the case.
Your 2nd point is spot on tho, where some in the press literally are presenting the prospect of Sony not being #1 as some sort of reflection that the industry is forever damaged or dystopian. Colin even said shit like âbut if this goes through, Sony wonât have an advantage in any area!â as if Sony should be entitled to having advantages. lol

It really is funny because quite rightly AB gets loads of criticism for their shit working conditions, drop in quality, games seemingly taking forever to make for no good reason and finally the lack of creativity.
So when change is in the offering you get the same people say it is bad for the industry.

Iâd still like Ubisoft and Asobo, after that Id be pretty content with Xbox and not need to worry about much outside of the Xbox Eco system.

Microsoft canât buy anymore studios until they have a great gaming harvest. End of '21 showed potential, hopefully '22 can continue the momentum into the flood of games during '23.
John actually likes a lot of Xbox stuff. He adores Halo and Forza Horizon.
Heâs just super hardcore against online/digital/streaming/subscription⌠Any kind of content delivery system thatâs more modern than an N64 cart, he wants no part of it and thinks that itâs ruining the industry. 
So that tends to suck all the air out of the room once he gets started on Game Pass. Iâll tell you what though, presuming Sony does start leaning into their own subscription service for real, as soon as he starts railing against that too no oneâs going to accuse him of being a Sony fanboy anymore.

Did anyone watch the Iron Lords Podcast where Colin was on ? Did King or the rest go against him and call him out or did they just look the other way and only praise him ? If itâs the latter Iâll skip that part. I know Colins sh. channel gave Cog a job opportunity so ever since theyâve been very nice towards him, too nice if you ask me considering the type of person he is, his past actions and his current bad takes.
Sorry if this is an off topic question, I was planning on watching it in a bit but canât stomach to see this guy unless people challenge him instead of praise him all the time.
I agree with John that MS needs to address physical copies and provide people who want that better options. Im 100% digital, it wouldnt be for me, and providing game fragments on disk isnt great. I think they need to put physical games on small SSDs. Make 100GB Expandable SSD carts that just have the game pre-installed on it. If they are $100, so be it, its for collectors.

It was pretty respectful. They offered their counter opinions and a few other guys kind of went after him a bit later after he left. I think Colin did a better job of explaining his position while also giving several âeye-rollingâ comments.
