Phil obviously will have the final say when games will start dropping on Game Pass by ABK, but why did Activision even made that post? I’d be really surprised if they don’t include any ABK games after the deal finally closes. “sometime next year” is just odd. Or did they mean solely Diablo 4 and MW3 with that bit?
because they still want people to buy MW3 and diablo because they still make money and have released or for MW3 case is about to be released and want to be clear when the deal closes and people will be asking them so to get ahead of it then
They’re just setting expectations. Not everyone on the internet is aware of the Sony co-marketing deal that will probably prevent MWIII from coming to Game Pass immediately.
As for Diablo IV, it may have some sales-related incentives for the development team that Microsoft will honor by not adding it to Game Pass immediately.
Im buying MWIII for zombie action regardless.
But what about the older games? I get Diablo 4 and MW3, but the massive catalog of older ABK games? I’d be surprised if none of that hits this year.
older games sure but the ABK tweet said upcoming and recently not older even phil spencer said don’t expect some of the older games to appear immediately as there is work to be done for some of them and then there was jez tweet

My assumption is that windows store versions of the games don’t exist, and they’ll need to go in and add achievements and all of rhat other stuff to PC versions. That’s the only kind of work I could imagine.

They never put some Bethesda games in the store. Some are old, but, say, ESO is still maintained and is not on GP PC.
