Thats the same passive aggressive handwriting like after the EU approved the deal. Someone at the CMA is still super salty about all that, lol.

Well their original theory was console harm and that was addressed immediately. They got this cloud market out of their asses later, and MS had no idea they took it that seriously when it’s a nothing market. They really make no sense

I think she has a point. The FT having an analyst saying the same thing. All along people said the CMA weren’t going to take a behavioural remedy and so it proved. MS misread it as if they’d ditched the idea of behavioural remedies and come up with something like this earlier the deal would be long done. Their error was as I said at the time a misread of the CMA and thinking they would bend or change.

That’s exactly how the ones you’d think of behaving, are behaving now. I don’t mean the lovely animals that are similar to a horse.

They wanted MS to divest the entire A side of ABK which was an insane ask, I think this was always gonna land this way but of course the CMA is gonna try and say they were right all along and it was Microsoft that was in the wrong.

Look how quick they were to try save face, they made it as hard as possible to look tough, do you not remember their emoji filled tweets at the start and the weird ass statement after EU approved? The FTC and CMA weirdness.

I’m seeing shit like “can’t wait for CoD at 30fps and having to fast travel to get to enemies.”

And people wonder why we don’t really like PlayStation fans.

Without the CAT stuff these remedies would not have done it for the CMA.

OtherEra’s dream of Microsoft being forced to port games to Playstation is dead in the water.

I noticed that little gem on GAF. The worst part is they think they’re being clever.

IQ in that forum must be pretty low if that’s all they’ve got.

The provisional findings were 98% focused on the console SLC, with no analysis of the cloud market, no feedback from cloud market participants and so on. In the light of dropping the console SLC, it’s no surprise MS thought the generous and wide-spanning behavioral remedies would suffice.

I don’t understand why anyone sane would go to that place. On top of the fanboyism it’s unmoderated toxicity and hate.

Yeah, but it’s good to see some level headed folks there too going against it. I wonder how long they can last with mods being so ridiculous there.

Gonna use my fav diss,

This!!!

Embracer clearly needs saving.

Except well before that there was plenty of commentary that the cloud issue would be harder for ms to remedy. It was not like it wasn’t discussed. I think even I had posted on here that cloud was going to be a more difficult issue to solve given the CMA’s remit to look at future and emerging markets in the way they did. But pretty sure analysts also mentioned it as a problem in the run up.
