New Zealand is such a tiny part to Xbox that i don’t think it even matters. There probably less than 25K Xbox user in all of New Zealand lol.

I get that, I’m just saying that a rejection indicates where the CMA is with this, considering NZ & Australia are basically aligned with them.

I think we are past the point of rejection. PlayStation bending the knee and signing that deal means they know it going through regardless.

How fast it will get done now is all that is left IMO.

I still am having doubts about the CMA negotiating in good faith. I really think people are getting their hopes up with this and are going to be blindsided yet again.

At this point they would be stupid to try anything with the world and other regulators watching them, also they have a case management tomorrow where they would have to state their intentions in court. They also don’t matter that much anymore as many have said the only place Microsoft couldn’t close over without an approval is the United States. Their whole play has worsened things for them causing their government to question them and hurting their play on the regulatory landscape. Hoeg talked a bit about it on Bitcast this morning.

Heres the problem with your theory. Microsoft agreed to this, if the deck wasnt stacked fully in their favor than they wouldnt have gone for it.
