Phil is great, but everytime I see him he just reminds of that one guy you work with that you only ever see outside having a smoke a drinking a coffee.

I fully expect the FTC to keep their ALJ Process active and delayed for months at a time, when the ALJ decision sides for MS the FTC will ignore that “guidance” and stick with their original mind-made-up never investigated ignorant decision to be against the acquisition. Their captain is steering directly into the iceberg and refuses to alter course.

I take it as less of “a W” and more of a Sony absolutely needs this to continue surviving. Its the only thing stopping the online narratives of “why should I buy into PlayStation when they may not get the next COD?”

So Call of Duty could launch on game pass this holiday? Fair trade eh Jim?

I understand this thought process, but I wouldn’t want to deny myself something that I want simply because a few executives at the top are slimy assholes (to be fair, that’s pretty much their job). I think of all the countless employees, engineers, software designers and game developers who have worked incredibly hard to deliver the best product they possibly can, and I wouldn’t want to punish them, or myself, because of the practices of a few executives or the overall practices of the company in general.

Having said that, there will always be cases where I fundamentally disagree with the practices of a company and will refuse to give them my money, but it would have to be something very serious and meaningful. I think Sony’s business practices are bad, but I don’t think there’s anything inherently evil or truly dastardly in what they do. It’s all business.

Playstation fans on the other hand…

I also barely have time to play my backlog on my Xbox so there’s also that.

They really have to stop saying it, like this at least, or people will keep calling them out for not putting all of their games on PlayStation, the wording is just cringe too.

I get what you are saying, but in my case I have unlimited Game Pass games to play along with a huge backlog. The developers of the Sony first party games will still have plenty of people buying their games. But Sony hasn’t earned my money with their behavior in this and less consumer friendly options such as Game Pass.

Somewhat agree here because I remember many using this as ammo when stuff aren’t on PlayStation like starfield and hifi rush.

While I get it, that would remind me of Brian Griffen scene where everyone in the crowd keeps bashing him before he gets to say anything in the speech. In short, you won’t please everyone, so either don’t say anything or let them cry.

PS thread on a certain other era lmfao but I do get it, remember how Xbox fans mocked the “4theplayers” slogan? at the least it was more obvious that Sony was referring to PS4 players at the time, really wish Microsoft execs would do it in a way that is obvious they are talking about people on their ecosystem, right now it just looks hypocritical.

I wasn’t super clear. I was talking about a scenario where you really wanted to get a PS5 right now but refused based on this.

Personally I’ve been waiting on the PS5 because I want a redesigned version that doesn’t look like a hulking Miami drug dealer approved monstrosity. That and I still have plenty of PS4 games to finish along with a backlog that’s utterly ridiculous.

I just view everything as PR statements, so I usually Ignore it. However, I’ve seen countless times when people say why X game isn’t on PlayStation then . I think PR wise may want to Change wording more , but I think it’s a whatever phrase
