It’s not a trade deal. Not sure it’s really relevant either way.
I think that’s the idea.
Just Climate is London based
Don’t think it means much, but he still in London most likely
So wish he could figure something out so that the buyout confirmation could be announced Sunday!
Better to not get your hopes up at all. I think this is going to get dragged until final decision from CAT.
I guess to bring some positivity (or the opposite depending in how you look at it) there hasn’t been much this week. It seems all parties have gone silent for some time , maybe something in the works. Don’t know if that’s positive or not.
June 12 will be the next update, so expect more stuff.

Some trader is putting big bucks on good news with the MS CMA meeting.
Tomorrow, we’ll know more.
Can you explain this to me like I’m 5?
I assume it’s stock going up but I have no idea.
Something tells me Monday (aka CMA vs MS/ABK round 2) will be an even bloodier blood bath.
“Yesterday we had 10,000 of the July $87.5 calls get bought”
What does this mean? Some dude has bought lots of stocks?
Not stocks, exactly. Options. In a simplified nutshell, options give you the right to buy a stock at a certain price at a certain date.
So someone having bought $87.50 July options, mean they’ve bought the right to buy Activision stock for $87.50 in July, regardless of what the actual stock price is then.
And since the stock is currently valued at about $80, that means this person is betting that between now and July the stock will increase more than 10% in value. Which under normal circumstances is a lot in a very short period of time.
Which is to say they are likely betting by July the share price will be the 95 dollars per share Microsoft is planning on spending. By my understanding (from googling it for 2 minutes) their profits are smaller than if they just bought the shares outright now (since the call price is higher than the current stock price) but this method minimises their upfront cost - they don’t need to pay for the stocks till July.
Yes, but also (and more importantly in my opinion) they’re reducing their risk. Buying an option doesn’t mean you HAVE to buy the stock, only that you’re locking in a certain price should you want to buy it later.
So if the deal doesn’t end up going through and the stock price tanks down to $60 or $70 or somesuch, this person is only out the money he spent on the options, and not in the red with a bunch of stocks he bought at $80.
Oh interesting, I missed that part in my extensive two minutes of googling - then yeah that certainly explains why they would be willing to take a stock call higher than the current stock price.
