Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread |OT2| The NeverEnding Acquisition

This also would mark a point that Microsoft cant really expand anymore which is a far bigger concern. This would be a guide to block all future considerable growth through acquisition. Growth is more important to business today than markets.

Moronic decision. Hopefully the appeal is successful.

And now the gloves are off, CoD can go exclusive.

That might have been me. My cousin who works for the CAT told me that the decision if it went to them would be quick because of the size of the merger and the sums involved.

Bigger the merger, higher the priority. Money makes the world go round

Make sure to delete your account here too. Since this site has Xbox written on it.

It’s time for Xbox to take Nick’s advice and be the bad guy.

UK says they can’t buy publishers, fine. Use that money to lock down third party exclusivity with $$$ instead. UK says that is fair.

It’s not about accessing through the web browser, it’s about server side adoption. I am an IT Manager, and I have never considered moving to Linux at my workplace because of compatibility, ease of maintenance and my colleagues and students not willing to learn how to navigate round a new OS.

This is the way. Let’s go to back to the 2008 Xbox days.

That she got the news probably.

Also once the marketing rights for COD expire. MS should have the same policies as Sony. And block content for PS.

Also I as a developer has no interest in supporting Linux properly, like many other developers out there. If it can run in WINE, good

Of course they won’t withdraw from the UK but it would be effective. A quick yoink and the school system, part of the NHS, agriculture companies the DWP would be crippled.

Its obviously the reason why they would never do it, millions of Brits rely on Microsoft for day to day life.

I reckon they’ll reup the marketing rights.

Business as usual, they’re not gonna let this affect their bottom line.

Microsoft should follow the Sony playbook pay for timed deals (basically permanent) from key third party publishers and acquire them after several years arguing that there is no foreclosure concern since the games haven’t appeared on Playstation in years and they are successful

So you are saying that MS will bow out and hand over marketing rights of COD to Sony.

A lot of Xbox gamer went through 2013-2018. This situation is nothing in comparison.

For Microsoft yeah. But for Xbox as a brand another year or potentially longer of this is pretty much a death knell. They need to focus on the future and what they offer now. Ideally with future acquisitions. But that’s all in limbo.

What a fucking waste of time. Forget ABK. Go after Ubisoft, Sega, CDPR.
