I still don’t understand what he meant haha
Knowing his history, he’s most likely saying that it’s up to FTC to “save them.” Since CMA has become the greatest heel, he’s counting on FTC to undo the damage.
Colt’s response was perfect to add extra salt to the wounds.
I’m 100% serious when I said the FTC don’t even think they are a threat for this deal. They weren’t when they moved to do their sue, they are even less so with every new outcome.
I was watching Xbox Two and I have to say Jez routinely has some of the worst takes. He was suggest that despite Sony getting nothing out of the deal that MS should support Playstation VR regardless
It’s like he just says dumb stuff just to be a contrarian
They kept calling him an MS shill lmao
Crash team racing 60fps update and pc version
The Phase 1 conclusion and the provisional finding were total insanity, good to see human reasoning and impartiality prevail for once.
Mostly happy that CMA recognized that while COD is important for the competitive landscape and it’s better if it stays multiplatform, it’s fair game for Microsoft to make other content exclusive.
Can someone point me in the direction of the circle jerk I’ve been hearing about? There’s supposed to be one going on right now on this forum.
Anyone?
From what I’ve read it seems the EU is happy with the behavioral remedies Microsoft have provided on the cloud side and are going through the process of market testing. I wonder if that would be the same for the CMA or they may ask for a little bit more, possibly extending the deals five or ten years on the same terms. I think the fact they’ve offered not only the ABK portfolio but the games from the studios they already own without licensing should be enough as the licensing would have been a huge barrier to entry and one ABK wouldn’t have dropped on their own. Only a month to go either way and I’m sure Microsoft and their high priced legal advisors are on the case
Lol
If you think it for a second, the exclusivity of CoD is the least important talking point in this whole acquisition saga. With it, Xbox gains great presence in the mobile market, control of big and iconic franchises, more leverage and power in the videogame industry in general. Lets hope this translates into more attention, and better products and services for Xbox players, both from first but also third parties.
Minecraft VR on PS5 maybe, I mean they already did it in OS4, can’t be that hard to port over. COD on VR would be the worst thing ever imo, I have a hard time seeing fast paced shooters like that translate over to VR.
Also, PSVR is kind of a failure considering the attach rate on PS4, I think it’s pointless supporting that device.
The other positive thing about the ABK deal besides the games is that it showed us all the hypocritical faces that were pretending to be neutral
They were actually betting that the CMA was going to block the deal, now they would have to deal with it.
They went from “don’t worry CMA will block this deal because Sony wants” to “please Sony sign in the damn 10 ys contract”. You can’t make this shit up!
