Sony can’t sign papers if MS does not offer it to them. That was the risk Sony took by being a bunch of douchebag babies during this whole process.

Last we heard Sony were not returning calls from MS. So Hopefully MS just pulls the offer and let’s Sony sweat about COD. I’m sure they will put COD on PS but now it will be on MS’s terms and not Sony’s.

Nah. If Microsoft is allowed to buy the people who own CoD, a gaming institution that essentially IS gaming for millions of people globally, then frankly Sony should be allowed to buy whoever they want. Market share is one thing, but massive amounts of money is just as important. If MS is allowed to use their much larger amount of money to just purchase publishers to block games from coming to PlayStation, they could easily eliminate a lot of that market share, and that’s absolutely the goal here. They’ve already pretty much removed “Skyrim-likes” from PlayStation’s future by buying Oblivion and Bethesda.

This acquisition war sucks, and the best thing for consumers would be if it didn’t happen. But if it does have to, then I don’t really see why regulars should say anything about Sony if they buy S-E, Capcom, Kadokawa, CDPR, or all 4 at once. None of those studios would raise monopolism concerns like CoD does, or if MS were to buy EA and make FIFA and Madden exclusive.

No. The Cloud SLC remains and still will need to be addressed via a remedy the CMA can agree to.

In reality it hasn’t actually changed the likelihood of the deal passing or not - that’s the same as it was last week.

What it might do is point to the chances being better than some thought but that could be a bit erroneous because the CMA still need to accept behavioural remedies…

Na, people still thinking this deal will be blocked based on the cloud gaming SLC especially after all the deals MS just signed are kind of delusional at this point Nvidia even dropped their complaint after signing with MS and now are full in favor of the deal which the CMA knows about. The Console SLC was the main sticking point, the Cloud is still an emerging market and MS is setting the tone by licensing it out to every mom and pop cloud shop.

This was the Final realistic roadblock and now it’s gone
