Itâs like Jez said. This gen is all about destroying Xbox for good on PS side. Itâs probably why exclusivity from third-party is much more pronounced than last gen.

Yeah, if this were 2013-2016, It would have been game over for Xbox⊠It to bad for Sony they probably never expected MS to go all in on Xbox. Sony can sign how many 3rd party exclusive deals they want. Xbox is here to stay now, there is no amount of exclusive deal that Sony can do to kill Xbox now.

Not that it really matters but Iâve just come back from working in south east Asia, I saw 0 Xbox related ads, products etc.
I did see that every 7/11 (the main connivence store averaging one shop per every 3 streets) always had PlayStation & netflix gift cards.
Safe to say Xbox has no presences here from my experience.
Microsoft and their advisors on this deal have played their hand very well. Still comes down to the CMA and how regulators see big tech acquisitions

OK. Didnât Sony just buy 11 studios, most of them with no meaningful IP to their name? Seems guy doesnât have a problem with âinorganic growthâ as much as the quality of the fertilizer.

At first I didnât think professional game developers could be fanboys, which I found out recently and how naive I was thinking that. But these stupid comments take it to another level and has me start to think, is this going to actually become an issue for Xbox? like are devs that much of a fanboy like this to no join an Xbox studio because they hate Xbox / Microsoft even if it pays better or is a better workplace.
I mean Playstation bought the studio that he works at

These deals are going to be much harder for Playstation when this deal goes through. I think market share will be much closer which will make these deals much harder. Lets be real these deals mainly happen due to Playstation market share for western markets, and donât think Sony can cover the cost for some of these deals.

Iâm calling it now, I think weâll start to see 3rd parties like Ubisoft/TakeTwo/EA to start doing more and more marketing deals again with Xbox by this mid gen, like 360 gen.
