Great picks too. MS really needs a big japanese rpg studio and Fromsoftware fits great cause this studio influenced a whole generation, inspired tons of game designers, mind shifting and big heavy hitter system seller.
Pretty sure that From Software is owned by a pretty big company in Japan and would cost a lot to acquire.

yeah unless they want to sell the studio because i’m pretty sure it’s the only studio who makes AAA games From KADOKAWA, the rest are mobile games studios

The fact that MS was interested in WB Games while getting Zenimax/Bethesda this makes me think they really aren’t done yet. It’s not over!

People in shall we say, “another” place are latching on to this "case by case " comment as some sort of proof that MS will still put their newly acquired games on PS. Even though to me that’s more like a nice way of saying “nope”. Then we have Jez breaking these people’s hopes. Lmao. I’ll take his word over any supposed Sony insider who have so far offered nothing but fake news.

This is exactly right, their future is game pass. They won’t put these new games on a platform that doesn’t have access to game pass because they want to increase their subscriber count and revenue, and they only achieve that by drawing people to the platforms where they do offer game pass. There will be some exceptions such as big multi-player games or small published indie games used to remind and tempt users outside of their ecosystem, but otherwise they will be exclusive to draw users in and keep current users in the ecosystem. I’ve seen the argument that they will put some games on PS to recoup costs, but that’s not their goal, the development costs are peanuts to MS. This isn’t a short term plan, it’s longterm, and initial investments and expenses are part of that, just like netflix.

Those games are years away. How can anyone know with certainty about anything? Wanting something to happen doesn’t make it true. Sony could be own by Google by then.

I would be ok with Xbox games being on Playstation if we get Playstation games on Xbox. If @XboxP3 can make a deal like that would be great. But if it was one sided relationship that would be terrible for Xbox.

Microsoft didnt buy Bethesda to sell games once. They want to convert them to subscribers. Selling blockbusters on PS5 doesn’t really make sense.
