One of my easiest purchases of the year. I remember Mass Effect 1 was one of my most anticipated games coming into the Xbox 360 genre. Gears, Mass Effect and Too Human were going to be Microsoft’s next big new IPs. Two of those delivered. Coming off of KOTOR, I remember how exciting it was to see Bioware given the resources to take another step forward in terms of production values and budget. Eventually I loved Mass Effect 1. Don’t even remember feeling the same complaints that I hear today. Unfortunately by the time Mass Effect 2 came out, I was going through a tough period of life and had given up gaming for a few years. From about 2009 to 2012, I didn’t game. So this release will be my excuse to catch up on one of the classics. I do wonder where this franchise will rank among my all time favorites once I complete it.

Likewise I don’t recall being anything in 1 being a negative experience, maybe the mods being a bit of a faff. When 2 came around I loved it and yet in some ways didn’t. It is, I think the best game of the three. I can’t wait to hear your reaction to 2

My console just downloaded a 20,77GB file (its 21,3GB now) for the game. But the store says the whole game will be ~80GB?
I am about jumping out of my skin! Just can’t wait to dive back into my favorite series again.

Are there any reviews yet? I’m as keen as anyone to revisit the trilogy, but my trust with EA aint exactly high. So as much as I want to, I just cant preorder… so um question, why is everyone on here just saying fuck it and pre ordering? lol
Can’t speak for anybody else but I pre-ordered because it’s the Mass Effect trilogy remastered.

Mass Effect is so loved by me that I have refused to commit to a new game for 2 weeks in the buildup to its release

I’m not expecting anything like that.
I actually think that BioWare are still unsure of exactly what they’re doing with the next entry in the series. I don’t think they’ll commit to anything until DA4 is released.

I think that announcement is just a showcase of faith in the series and from EA in them that they will still work on it. As much as I want Andromeda sequel I think they need some good will from “fans” after a dud decade and it seems like a safe bet to just go back to the Milky Way as much as I dont want to.
Yeah I agree. I think they just wanted to let people know the series isn’t dead.
Personally I would want Andromeda 2 as well. There are so many things they could do with that.
One of the games in this collection is my #1 all-time favorite game and the other two are top 5/top 10 level. Now I get to experience all three of them again, with improved graphics, 60 fps, and new achievements? This is the easiest $60 I’ve ever spent.
