I don’t think it’s a redesign, I think it’s the character face model from ME3 & they’ve made it so we can play as that preset version of Shepard all the way through the trilogy, for the remaster.
I have no idea why, to be honest. I’m with you, I think the original preset female Shepard is so much better. When I hear Jennifer Hale’s awesome voice acting, that’s the face I see.
As an aside, male Shepard is best Paragon & female Shepard is best Renegade.
I make my own custom character so I dont run into these issues
I did that as well, at first. I usually always do that when it’s an option. I can’t anymore with Mass Effect though. Shepard (male or female) has become a set character in my head. I hear the voice & if it was coming out of another face, it would just be weird.
I was actually thinking it may be time for me to actually do a default character run this time

Just kidding of course. I’ve tried all the variations & I dunno, there’s just something about the way Jennifer Hale & Mark Meer deliver the lines. For me, male Shepard never really speaks the Renegade lines with the proper conviction & vice versa.
That’s just me though. This is one of those things that are entirely subjective.
Jennifer Hale is amazing as renegade though, The “Say Goodnight Manuel” is delivered perfectly!
I did always think Meer delivered most of the lines better than Hale, but that is because almost every choice I made was Paragon

I see people online talking about a microsoft reward punch card reward of 6000 points if you preorder game. I am just wondering if US only since I don’t see it anywhere on microsoft rewards website
A good portion of of the game-related punch cards are only in the Xbox Rewards app, so check in there.
Its in the rewars app on the console, I used it when I preordered here in DE. Remember to activate the card then follow the link via the rewards app and not on the webpage or just by searching the store.
Thank you, I was able to see it on the Microsoft rewards app on the xbox console itself. I need to check this more often since it seems to be an easy way to get points. Now I just need to re-preorder it

The custom cover maker is one of the coolest marketing things I’ve seen in a while. I had two printed off and they look great. I’ll share some pictures of them later this week.
