Mass Effect |OT| ME Next Engine news

It opens up like half way through the main campaign. But I recomend you wait until after Priority: Thessia and Priority: Horizon (Sanctuary). To max out how many characters will be available to you for the Citadel DLC stuff

Oh and make sure you do it before Priority: Cerberus Headquarters, because that puts you on a point of no return in to the end game, once you start that

Good to know this because I just got the option to do the DLC now so I guess its side missions and the Quarians next.

Come on, why didn’t anyone tell me that your fish can die in Mass Effect 2 if ya don’t feed them? Absolutely DEVASTATED right now.

Well, at least I still have my cute space hamster with me.

Aw man

Wait 'till he sees what happens to the hampster

Oh nononono… PLEASE don’t tell me something happens to the hamster. I’m going FULL renegade in ME3 if so. I don’t care. No mercy.

Ugh…the paragon in me can’t let this one sit. Nothing happens to the hampster. I was just teasing

In fact I’ll help you out. When you start ME3 you may be wondering where it is. It’s running around loose in Jack’s ME 2 area, under engineering. You can collect it, as well as all your model ships, which are scattered around the ship

There are narrative reasons for this, I won’t spoil

Ok, that’s a relief. No one messes with the space hamster.

Seems like there’s just another Salarian scientist that takes his place. It’s going to be a lot less dramatic I feel without the connection to Mordin.

Completed the Legendary Edition playthrough and what a blast it was. Truly the greatest science fiction franchise ever made. Now after this most recent run my rankings are 3 > 1 > 2.

Btw Destroy ending for the Win!

Time for this baby to get replayed in a couple of weeks.

Edit: Booted up Andromeda for a sec and lord this needs an FPS Boost like the plague.

Agreed, the combat in Andromeda may be even better than ME3, if it ever gets that boost

Booted up the game a bit again to see some vistas and man this game is gorgeous. Hope ME4 bridges the series so we can go back to Andromeda, one of the most undeservedly hated games ever.

Beat Mass Effect 2. An upgrade from the original in many areas. Streamlined some unnecessary elements but at the same time removed some stuff I wish they hadn’t, such as some of the exploration aspects and the more complex leveling system. Lots of interesting missions too and the companions were all great. Except Jacob. My main gripe is that there was a bit too much shooting and it got repetitive at times, which I’m sure some of you would agree with, reading the thread. Aside from that, fantastic game.

I LOST TALI AND GRUNT THOUGH WHYYYYYY. What’s worse is that I was romancing Tali, and now she ded.

But that finale was great. And tense.

Did you do their loyalty missions? And do all the upgrades for the Normandy before heading through the Omega 4 relay?

Did it all.

Only other thing I can think of then, was you didn’t make the best choices during the Suicide Mission

Do you remember who you picked for the different rolls? And did you decide to leave some people behind to hold the door befote the final push, instead of everyone hurrying back to the ship before golng together, aside from the two sqadmates you keep with you for the final fight

For the first part I had Zaeed as the leader and Tali as the specialist. For the second, I had Grunt as the leader and Samara as the specialist. I’m guessing I made the wrong picks for leaders.

I left them at the door. No one died there.

Thus is fixable then, if you still have a save before that mission

Your specialist choices were great. There are a few really good choices for those team leader rolls. Easiest no-brainer one though is Garrus. Just pick him both times. And for your guy escorting the Normandy crew (Chakwas, Kelly etc) Jacob and Mordin have worked for me there

I sent Jacob to escort too. But I think I’ll keep it this way. I like the consequences. Whenever I do a second playthrough (I know I will at some point), then I’ll focus on getting everyone out alive.

I know it’s a pain to go back and you probably want to move on to the next game, but I would go back and try to fix that. Mass Effect 3 is a better experience with Grunt and especially Tali alive. Even more so when she was already your love interest

But hey, your call

Well aware but as weird as it sounds, I like having the pain of losing them. And anyway, on my second playthrough, whenever that’ll be, I’ll focus on getting everyone outta there.
