Mass Effect |OT| ME Next Engine news

If you didn’t send Mordin to escort the Normandy crew back to the Ship then he probably died.

I think it may have come down to who you chose to lead that team he was in. Might not have been a good choice

Spoiler warning regarding Mordin. So maybe steer clear, KingPicollo

If you lose Mordin in ME2 and he kills Maelon prior, what the heck happens on Tchanka and the Shroud in ME3?

More I continue down my ME3 playthrough the more I realize that ME2 might be the worst game in the Original Trilogy which is something insane to me like 2 months ago lmao.

It’s insane to me two months ago too

…also right now, as well

I’ll let you know when I get there :joy:

Looks like I’ll be jumping into Mass Effect for the first time on PC as I just won a copy of the Legendary Edition on Twitter.

Any essential tips for a complete ME noob?

Series as a whole:

  • Play it without a guide on your first play-through.
  • Don’t pick Soldier class (boring IMO), always go for a class that has Biotic or Tech skills.
  • Exploration, exploration, exploration!

ME1-specific:

  • Make sure to level up Tech skills so you can decrypt/hack things for loot.

Also charm skill for extra speech options that can really help you out of situations.

Don’t be boring: use your squadmates, use different squadmates, don’t play as a soldier, use your biotic and tech skills, don’t always choose only good or bad dialog options. And of course play as Femshep for better voice acting.

  • Save often and keep a long list of them. You may do some things you really regret and should keep your chances for do-overs plentiful

  • I strongly disagree with CallMeCraig. Commit heavily to either Paragon (good, moral), or Renegade (mean, intimidating). You will need one or the other to be high level for important, game changing dialogue options. And if you split to heavily between them, neither will be high enough to matter, and you’ll be looking at a lot of grayed out options you wish you could choose

  • Like Ironfistchinmi said, Soldier is boring. Mainly because it focuses on various ammo types, which are pretty boring and not that consequential. You can have good gunplay regardless of which class you choose

  • If you go Male Shep, I’d stick with the default version. They did such a good job with his look and I’ve honestly never seen anyone make their own that looks nearly as cool, or as handsome. They usually look dorky as hell, to be honest

  • Fem Shep, I advise the opposite. You can get some really good results customizing her

  • Be prepared for 2 and 3 to get progressively more like a modern cover shooter, in terms of controls and snappiness. If you find that aspect in 1 to be lacking, just ride it out. It gets so much better by the time you’re at 3

Also spoiler warning question from me.

What happen if Garrus survives to ME3? (Died at the end of 2 for me)

I assume he is in place of general Victus and Garrus instead becomes the Primarch?

Its a RPG, live with the consequences of your actions. Or you just boost it at the the beginning of Noveria :woman_shrugging: Still works in Legendary Edition

No, Victus is Primearch either way, Garrus is a high ranking Turrian military adviser and you run in to him when you’re looking for Victus on Palevin’s moon. From there, Garrus joins your crew again as a squadmate and spends his tim in the same spot of the Normandy, calibrating the main gun

Thanks all for the tips. Loading up ME1 right now.

Squad mate??? As in he becomes a companion again??? Maaaaaaaan

Yes, he does

Why do I not get a single other opportunity to have Wrex back in my squad

Because he’s one busy Krogan. Citadel DLC in ME3 should let you play with Wrex again though

Haha he so is! Is that a post campaign DLC?
