Jacob’s backstory isn’t that interesting, but his dialog when you have him along is among the best. Also very good to have with in combat in various combos. Definitely disagree.

To be honest I find all the human companions besides the Andromeda duo to be extremely boring. The most interesting one from the og trilogy being Miranda to me.
Yea because they’re human, how can they compete? I thought Miranda was among the least interesting though. Agree on the Andromeda duo though for sure. They did a good job with them and just the systems in general to make you feel like you knew the companions better.
If the Leviathan DLC had been in the ME3 at launch i would have had a better opinion of the gane. It answers a lot of the questions I was annoyed at not being answered originally.
So here’s a thing…#spoilers
[spoiler]So as I said previously I lost Mordin at the end of ME2 and he was replaced by a random Salarian scientist in ME3.
It got me thinking, there are loads of these missions in ME3 where you are helping old characters in situations, the missions are cool and feel good because they involve your past friends. But having one without a friend made me release all these missions happen anyway with just a copy paste character.
It kind of undermines the work you’ve put in to keep these people alive, your choices don’t really matter. Which knowing how it ends makes things feel a bit hollow. [/spoiler]

This was on sale for $45 and I took the plunge. I’m getting the feels all over again. This universe is so well done.
Some thoughts regarding ME3 endings down below
Don’t know if its just me but I feel like Synthesis ending is a reaper win to a degree and Control is something that Shepard wouldn’t attempt if we are being honest. In both of these the reapers just remain all kumbaya in the end.
Destroy seems to be like the only logical choice irrelevant of EDI (who I personally dont care much for even tho she is funny) and the Geth. Nothing states that either cant be rebuilt after blasting the whole galaxy in the process. Its the only other ending where you truly BEAT the Reapers.
I also like the ending where Shepard rejects all the choices and the reapers win in this cycle but their legacy remains by allowing the next generation of organics to triumph. Its bitter sweet but reflects the reality that sometimes It doesnt matter how hard you work it may not be enough in the end.
For the love of me I dont know how people say ME3 ruined the series or what not. I actually think this is the best game in the series now that I have replayed them all again.

Even for the people who loathed the game’s ending. 99% of it was incredible. You can’t ruin all that with 1%

Just finished Mass 2, I think I was so absorbed by this series back in the day that the flaws of the game didnt even matter. I see today how uninspiring was the lvl system, upgrades and weapon/armor variety for an RPG standard. Still it all made sense after the suicidal mission, what a damn ride! The world and characters are so well crafted that sucks you in. Still an amazing game and I still love this series so much. I really hope they don’t mess up the next game.
Btw, does anybody had issues with paramour 2 achievement? I had Liaria in ME1, wanted to stay loyal, but heard there were some issues, then I made a save before Omega and dated Miranda, but the achievement didnt pop.

Think a lot of anti EA sentiment (I would agree for The Javik and Leviathan dlc paywall) and animosity towards them had people say this game is awful.
I.E. They’re dumb parrots who want to jump on the hatewagon for easy likes and replies
