Hate to be a downer but not really a fan. I think they’ve overextended their teams and its had a knock on negative effect.

To be positive, I think if you view things on an individual quality level, they are hitting about as much as they used to. But the problem is that they are missing far more often too and that dillutes the impact of when things hit.

Fwiw, in terms of my thoughts:

Excellent: Spider-Man No Way Home

Very Good: Shang-Chi, Loki

Good: Hawkeye, What If,

Middle of the Road: Black Widow, Wandavision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Ms. Marvel (so far)

Bad: Moon Knight

Awful: Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Eternals, Thor Love and Thunder

I honestly had really different reactions

Didn’t see the new Spiderman, Dr. Strange, Thor, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel

Watched a little of What If, was ok, but not really my thing.

Absolutely loved: Loki, Hawkeye, Wandavision, Falcon & ShangChi

Black Widow was good, but not as good as it should have / could have been.

Eternals - I think I liked this more than most people did.

At this point I think I’m growing a bit bored of the typical Marvel formulaic series or movies, so I’m enjoying the off the beaten path more. So my enjoyment is probably flipped from the common Marvel fan now. I am enjoying Ms Marvel now, absolutely loved Moon Knight and Loki, found some exceptionally great scenes in Hawkeye (it pains me to admit that), enjoyed the quirky bits of Wandavision and quite appreciated Eternals.

Yeah, I almost liked the stuff that I’ve seen more because it’s NOT the same old Marvel - it’s got more time for some character growth / story stuff. I like that a Marvel movie (well, probably more a show than a movie in most cases) can be a ton of different genres to some extent, it’s made me more interested in what’s going on.

My wife & I just rewatched Hawkeye on Saturday as kinda a “Christmas in July” thing which is funny because we totally aren’t into that - and I really did appreciate a lot of the writing, little asides that are thrown in there.
