LG OLED C9 for Xbox Series X

Just had a weird issue after watching The mandalorian in dolby vision and then going to the home screen where it seems like its flickering between modes and sometimes ill see invalid format. Only way to fix this was to unplug the hdmi and plug it back in. Anyone know whats going on?

I can only change black level when my HDMI input is set to PC.

the C9 never came to my country but I recently saw a CX on display and just the 48in model was there. costs 10k FJD though (~5k USD)

HGIG should be the default option for games. No processing - let the game define how the console should look

Even for games that don’t support it? I know Cold War supports it, but something like Witcher 3? And I’ve disabled HDR for AC Valhalla altogether. I must have spent several hours trying to get it looking good, But it just doesn’t look good in places that should look dark, likes caves and other underground areas, it’s still that washed out look.

Having bought a CX around 6 weeks ago in preparedness for Series X I have come across some issues with the TV I didn’t know before buying it. Now its the best TV I’ve owned and I have no regrets in buying one. This is not really an issue but you must turn off freesync to get Dolby Vision to work at 4K/120. The CX HDMI is capped at 40Gb/sec unlike the C9(48Gb/s) and there isn’t enough bandwidth to have both working simultaneously. The biggest issue for me is the CX no DTS decoder , you can’t even pass DTS through the TV to your receiver over ARC. The conundrum I have is to get DTS out of my Series X I must connect from the xbox to the receiver then to the TV but I’ll lose 4K/120 because my receiver is only HDMI 2.0 which limits me to 4K/60. Currently I connect from the xbox to the TV then through ARC connect to the receiver I’ll get 4K/120 but lose all DTS formats. I’ve has issues playing certain Blu Rays because of this DTS issue with the TV. Running Dolby Atmos from Series X on a 5.1.2 setup but would prefer the option of DTS:X.
