In my friend’s list, I have some that told me they had " sources " that told them Lockhart was canned like 4 months ago. Now, everytime there is more evidence of Lockhart actually existing, they are still trying to say it is something else, like a Series X All-Digital or a streaming console. With the manual, they are now arguing that because we don’t see the picture of the Series S, and only the Series X, it means the console doesn’t exist, while ingoring that the controller is for both consoles.
You can almost feel news is close…
I really just wanna see the box already and get prices now. The name is what I expected the name to be , though in probably still gonna call it lockhart or “small snake” until the end of time .
As for confusion with Xbox One S ? I’m of the mind they always intended to discontinue all Xbox One immediately as soon as the new Xbox came out . lockdown demand made a situation where xbox one systems sold probably about as much as they expected them to all year in the span of about 2-3 months . They couldn’t just leave store shelves empty but they have no intent to produce more xbox one than is needed and when they can use manufacturing lines on the new xbox systems , so they discontinued all but one system earlier than expected. but there’s no reason to believe xbox one S will be around much longer than end of this year imo. even if it did stick around it would be at ridiculously low volumes anyways .

The Wii U also had the problem that the console looked almost identical to the wii. The new Xbox looks radically different and therefore I think it won’t be as much of a problem. But I still wonder what they will name midterm upgrades. I mean will we see a Xbox Series X2 or something ? Doesn’t sound very comfortable to me

I don’t think we will see a midterm upgrade next gen since both console are very powerful and capable machines. The beginning of this gen ps4 and xbox one were laughed at for being so weak. At the start of this gen you could build a equivalent pc for like $500-600. Try building a 12 teraflops machine for even $1000 would be hard since the just the 2080 super would put you at $800 without any other components
Is it bad that I want a elite 3 with this feature even before my elite 2 turned 1 year?
This seems the most likely theory, we know console stocks ran down quicker than expected due to more people buying due to corona so it’s possible that MS are running out of x1 controller stock before they planned and so will replace it with an early launch of the next gen controllers.

That’s the one. Series X was supposed to launch this month. Supply seems to be good so they can still hit a September launch but yakuza saying it’s launching on Series X day 1 and having a listing for November 13th makes me have some doubt now.
Now that I think about it I love the name sector as the next console lol
We haven’t seen the Series S just yet and if the rumours are to be believed, it’s going to look similar to a One S isn’t it?
I hope not, I think they should go for a similar designlanguage with a second console. But yeah, heard the rumors.
