I was never into figure collecting but I saw a small discount on this from Black Friday and it finally arrived. Rean from Trails of Cold Steel. The detail is stunning, I see why people like collecting these now.

I’ve played every Cold Steel game start to finish and you couldn’t pay me enough to invest another 600 hours of my life on a replay BUT…
Why oh why is this series not on Xbox yet? It’s on literally everything, from Vita to Amazon Luna, but for some reason the revenue from sales (or a GP deal) and growth of IP doesn’t make it worth the modicum of port costs for Xbox?

Because publisher NISA has basically never supported Xbox and doesn’t feel the need to without MS prodding.
The games were on Stadia too (as were Ys games). Obviously Google paid for those but still.
Just gotta believe Nick’s NISA rumor lol. After seeing Neon White rumor basically confirmed by the publisher it gives more hope.
I’d probably replay them skipping cutscenes and with turbo mode set at 16x to collect 1000G and re-enjoy the gameplay.
Though if they came I’d also hope that would mean future games come to Xbox too and NISA doesn’t just collect the GP check and dip.

Not even 10 minutes later (big spoilers for Kuro 2):
Anti-immigration terrorists attack Aramis High School and take immigrated students hostage. Towa Herschel takes a bullet for one of the students and… dies. Even though the Genesis is rewinding time to prevent deaths, this one hurt to see, especially as she mentioned Rean, Angelica and Crow in her dying breath.

The funnier part was she tried to crash into Swin to fulfill the trope. He just stepped out of the way and ruined it lol. Nadia said “You’re not doing it right Swin!”
Nadia is too funny lol, always makes me smile.
People playing Western releases of Trails games haven’t met Swin and Nadia yet (their backstory is in Cold Steel 4 though), excited to see that happen when Trails into Reverie releases next year, they’ve become some of my favorite characters haha.

I love those games as well but ive alresdy played them. So im most excited for Eiyuden Chronicles Aka Suikoden 6

Another Kuro no Kiseki 2 post
Got a good party for the Marchen Garden area (an optional mega-dungeon that lets you use every party member in the game). Renne and Van are the major damage dealers, Agnes is the healer while Judith is a bit of both.
Renne’s S-craft can insta-kill trash mobs so she’s great for speeding up battles.
Van can use his Grendel form on boss fights which is pretty much necessary.
Judith can turn into Grimcats which gives you a busted amount of buffs
Agnes has an ability to refill the boost gauge to supply everyone with more S-crafts.
And of course, I’ll have Renne lead the party!
I’m playing on the highest difficulty, as I always do on Trails.

God I want a new switch. Ys 9 didn’t run that well on it.10 wil be even more choppy I reckon.
This will actually be Falcom’s first time developing a Switch version internally rather than outsourcing it, it might turn out better (or worse 
)
If it turns out rough on Switch I think I’ll buy whatever collector’s edition they have planned there and then emulate on PC.

I know this is the “no-no” company but some of these sales look pretty good.
Mainly looking at 50% off Valkyrie Elysium. Possibly also Triangle Strategy because I haven’t seen it on sale on Switch physically yet and I might just give in to this.
If they don’t want to grow their IPs, then it’s their problem.
Ys X not even being on PC is fucking dumb but that’s Falcom for you.
MY issue is Xbox doesn’t even get what would be an insanely cheap prot of Ys8 or 9. They even fucking redid a Ps5 port for Ys 8…
Fuck this company. Ys X is effectively a Sony exclusive. Switch version will be awful just like 9 was.
To be fair Falcom has nothing to do with that. NIS America entirely handled that port, I don’t think Ys 8 PS5 even released in Japan.
NIS America is also porting Ys IX and Trails into Reverie onto PS5 but again Falcom isn’t involved with these.
