Introduce Yourselves!

Err… Hi welcome!

I’m 26, a brummie from the UK, been into gaming for the majority of my life started back in the Gameboy colour days with pokemon blue & red before eventually getting the original xbox.

Xbox has always been my main console, I had the OG xbox my brothers had ps1/ps2, & then 360 was just the best console ever. The current gen i had a Xbox one & then further down the line I brought my first ever PlayStation (PS4) then unfortunately my Xbox One broke about 3yrs ago so I just stuck out with PS4, but i can wait to get the new xbox & come home so to say.

My favourite ever game is tricky cause my main go to game is fifa even tho not my fav, but I’d have to say probably Skyrim played many many hours into that game lol but I like a huge variety of games.

At the moment I’m currently playing on Switch & Stadia :see_no_evil: as I’ve given my PS4 to my brother as I’m bored of it currently & just waiting for the Series X.

Hey I’m Ruben, 40. Been gaming since as far as I can remember. Played lots of games on my cousin’s Atari2600. The one that stands out was boxing - great fun. My family and I were really poor. My dad used to rent the NES for my brothers and I over the weekend so we could play. Mario was blind blowing for us back then. Bowser’s castle music used to freak me out so much, lol. When the genesis came out, I begged my parents 2 years for it. I eventually gave up asking for it because as a young kid, it finally hit me. My parents couldn’t afford it. We’re poor. Anyways, my birthday is on December 23rd. I think I got socks that year. When Christmas came my parents handed me this box to open and I didn’t want to. Couldn’t take anymore disappointment. But they persisted, so as I started opening it and saw the “gen” from genesis, I freaked out, yelled in happiness. I have a picture they took of me holding the box over my shoulder. Greatest gaming moment in my life and now that I’m older, I appreciate and value that moment more and more because of their sacrifice, and how much they must have worked to give their son something he wanted so bad. Another awesome moment was having my dad help me buy a super nintendo. I was about 10 or so and would go help my dad clean office buildings. He’d give $5 here and there or $10 when he could. I saved enough to pay half for the snes and he spotted me the other half. Now that I’m a grown man with kids, I’m very fortunate enough to be in a position where I’m able to buy my kids their switch and the games they love. It’s such an awesome feeling seeing their eyes light up with excitement when the game they’re looking forward to arrives at our doorstep. I never take the position that I’m in for granted. Very thankful. Me personally, I play both xbox and playstation when I can. Xbox is my go to console. Love everything about it. I guess that saying, “when I was young I had all the time in the world to play games, but no money to buy them. Now that I’m old, I have the money to buy them, but no time to play”, best describes me. Still though, I love going to gaming forums to read about gaming topics. This is the first forum I’ve joined in YEARS. Looking forward to getting to know everyone out there and enjoying topics related to our preferred console of choice.

Hey everyone! I’m 42 and have been playing video games since my dad brought home an atari pong machine. Since then I’ve been gaming on Nintendo, Sega, Sony consoles as well as PC, but primarily Xbox since Halo arrived on the scene. My kids play more than I do these days due to life commitments but I try and game as much as I can. I’m still on the OG Xbox One, so looking forward to upgrading the Series X and a 4K TV (if I can convince the wife!). Also if you see a rather pitiful gamescore on my gamertag it’s because I made the mistake of giving my previous gamertag to my son.

I just hit my 30’s from Australia and my gaming history has big gaps.

I started off with NES and pretty much skipped everything until the final days of ps2, xbox including PC. Only thing I had in the middle was Gamboy Advance

After not knowing how much gaming has evolved, I got a PC with a graphics card and the first game I played was Halo CE. I struggled naturally with whats happening in the game but I loved it and been in love with Halo since

Got PS2 at same time but mainly played sports games.

Got Xbox 360 when it launched and rest is history. Still remeber memories of putting a towel around xbox 360 to fix RRoD issues.

Been with Xbox since then and I absolutely love game pass

New here, just dropping in to say hello; definitely recognize a lot of people from the other forums I frequent so I figured I’d hop on here as well, everyone seems pretty chill so thats always cool. I go by behemoth/pravus/headspawn on various forums, different names, same guy.

Multiplatform owner but Xbox / PC are my mains for the past two decades, also SNES is the best console ever made, I’ll fight anyone who says different, lol

Cheers.

Howdy howdy! Name is EvilChameleon, but you can just call me EC if you’d like. Been gaming on the XBOX since the original, and having an XBOX-centric forum like this brings me back to the days of Team XBOX. Hope to have as much fun here as I did there!

greetings from the pond, is there a way to enable pages instead of big scroll?

That’s a negative ghost rider, pages are old school now. As a dinosaur myself, it took a little getting used to - but stick with it. It’s really slick. Check out the user guides section for helpful tips!

And welcome!

Hello, decided to pop on over from ResetEra as the Xbox stuff seems to have dried up over there. Finding this new format all very new and scary, but I’m sure I’ll adjust in time.
