My dad loves the series and has even watched episodes before me! Haha also saw that he was watching Halo stuff on YouTube which was amusing to me, he somehow stumbled onto Halo Wars 2 cutscene movie.
I’m loving the show, I genuinely can’t wait for each episode every week and it’s a bit of a highlight for my week, haven’t had a show like that for me for a long time. Yes they do some weird stuff and stuff I love but I just love it for what it is.

And this particular show was something similar, but different, without the Halo name and with none of the intentional similarities, armor and ship designs etc. People would be praising this out of nowhere new sci-fi show and possibly saying things like “they should hire these guys to do a Halo show” or “When the Halo show comes out, I bet it won’t be as good as this”
And the ones saying that would be a lot of the same guys criticizing it now. Because they’re
A: Too caught up int the original Halo story of the games and books and can’t give the show a fair chance
B: They’re console warriors so…ya know
C: They’re typical Youtube Grifters
Or D, which is a combo of B & C…(cough)Dreamcast Guy(cough)
IMO many of the people who gatekeep Halo have other ideological beliefs that would have them still criticizing the show anyway.

meh i dont play halo so i dont really have a say here, but regardless of people’s opinions, the numbers are what will do the talking. I do dislike the current hollywood trend of adapting established IP to live action and making alotta changes splitting the fandoms in half. So, I do think the people who dislike the show are justified.

Agreed. I know this is blasphemy to some, but in both episode two and three I got some Expanse vibes.
Loving this whole thing, and I’m so happy they’ve already been renewed for a second season. Crossing my fingers for a few more beyond that, but I feel now they’ve got a fighting chance at finding an audience.

All I’ve heard is they broke their own record, but nothing concrete.

The Expanse is my favorite show of all time, and I agree with this take. If they have a fully fleshed out vision and they get the time to tell that story there is great potential here.

I really hope they do, I wish there was more stamina in the TV business. At least it has its second season which bodes well.

Really? I read rooster teeth and assumed they would just pander to the toxic gatekeeper assholes on Reddit.
